Note: My previous article is more immediately relevant, read that too. I kept that one separate because of the material.

I'm running for my 24th term in Congress, and I've been as impressed by what I've seen in this current congress as I've been of any Congress I've been in. Congress has been more active this month, debating foreign and budgetary policy. It has taken a stronger leadership role, which is good for the country.

Congress is extremely important for the country. If we elect the wrong people, there are often consequences. The better people we elect, the more-informed every in-game vote becomes and the better we help the Executive branch and military do what they need to do. I humbly ask for your vote on election day so I can help contribute to what Congress has done in the last month.

As you probably know, you can no longer vote for a specific Congressional candidate, you vote for his or her party. There are great candidates running in all four major, legitimate parties (everyone except the AFA), but I am especially proud of some of the candidates the USWP is running.

The USWP had a good mix of old and new candidates running, coming from many different backgrounds. I'm not going to talk about them all because that would be tl;dr, here some of the notables running:

Max McFarland 3 -- Almost all of you know of him already, and I'm thrilled he's running for Congress and has re-joined the USWP: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-eusa-congress-politicks-amp-bad-ideas--2217514/1/20

Bacon Empire -- He's the current Deputy Chief of Staff and a USWP Executive Board member, he does a ton for the party and the country behind the scenes.

Othere -- He not only loves narwhals, he has international experience and is an eRepublik mentor. Check out his presentation: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-uswp-othere-for-eus-congress-save-the-narwhals--2214829/1/20

Deificus -- He's served multiple roles for this country and is a former Secretary of Defense and NSC Director. We could use his background in Congress.

Vanek26 -- A former NSC chairman, he's done just about everything for the country except President.

stancel -- Has international experience, having served in multiple countries' congresses: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/vote-uswp-february-2013-2216533/1/20

Andrew Carnegie -- Another up-and-coming new citizen, check out his thoughts here: http://eusaforums.com/forum/index.php/topic,24665.msg409838.html#msg409838

JohnnyM2 -- He's a promising newb who could have a good future ahead of him. Newspaper: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-uswp-johnnym2-for-congress--2216192/1/20

Kishvier -- I loved his recent article: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/thoughts-of-an-old-but-unnoticed-player-2214320/1/20

Those are just some of the people running on the USWP ballot, there are other good ones as well. I am proud of many of the people on the USWP ballot and will take our slate against anyone's.

Some notable non-USWP members (members of smaller parties) running on the USWP ballot:

Fhaemita Malodorous -- A Vox Populi member, he's the commander of Flight Training and a former USWP Party President

Phoenix Quinn -- A Socialist Freedom Party member, PQ has a good newspaper: http://www.erepublik.com/en/newspaper/roar-of-the-lion-191364/1

The Rohirrim -- A member of the Friendship and Honor party, who we helped in the Party President elections.

Thank you all for reading, and please vote for me and the USWP on Monday, February 25th!
