Resource Wars II - Day 3107 [17:00] - still groping in the dark for a rubber

Less than two weeks to go kids! I for one will be glad when that countdown clock disappears and I go can back to staring in frustration at the senior journalist mission button...
Some observations and comments, with just 13 days left to run.
1. The new resource is no longer the most popular. All the resources are close to the same release schedule, percentage wise.
2. Three quarters of the Unobtanium (sorry, Neodymium) has been released already. The first went to Pakistan, with the second going to Poland. Japan took the third, in the delightfully named Kinki region. There is just the one Neodymium left! Expect fierce competition for this one, and interference from rivals who can’t claim it themselves.
3. Eleven (from seventeen) rubber resources have been released. These have gone to South America (Peru and Argentina), Europe (Poland, Spain, Portugal and Russia), the Middle East (Saudi Arabia and Iran), Asia (The Philippines and Thailand) and Eurasia (Georgia). That leaves six rubbers in the pool...
4. Fifteen (from twenty four) deer resources have been released. Europe (Portugal, Russia, Germany, Spain, Croatia and Estonia), North America (USA [twice!] and Cuba), Asia (China, Australia and Japan), the eastern Mediterranean area (Egypt and Turkey), and the Middle East (Iran) have claimed these.
5. Five (from seven) granite resources have been claimed, going to Eurasia (Russia and Georgia), North America (USA and Canada) and Europe (Spain). There are only two granite resources left to drop. If you want one, better get your skates on!
6. Very common resources are not being released in as great quantities as the other types. Maybe that's a desire thing. The anticipated FishPile sits at ten unloved little fishies...
7. Granite (71% allocated), Limestone (69% allocated), Magnesium (68% allocated) and Neodymium (75% allocated) are the least available of the remaining resources resources. .
How is the eUSA doing? No change from yesterday. Unobtanium remains unobtained… We have one last chance at it! We are still groping in the dark for a rubber as well. Six chances left.
Food
Food is our best supplied industry, which hasn't changed for awhile. We have all five of the five resources (Deer, Grains, Cattle, Fruits and Fish) for an overall national bonus of 100%. Our maximum region bonus is 90% in Nebraska. It won’t get any better than that, bonus wise!
We are also a good way towards a second full bonus food region, in the District of Columbia of all places. I think it started as a joke, by putting goats, sheep and cows at the seat of RL governance…
We have also done part of our share of Fish shovelling, so far taking three of the unloved leftovers.
Weapons
We’ve taken the unrestricted resources of Aluminium, Iron and Oil. That gives us a national bonus of 45% and a maximum region bonus of 35% (in Kentucky).
That leaves us Saltpeter and Rubber to win. These are heavily contested resources...
Housing
We have a full house of housing resources! What does that mean ID, you stupid cow? It means our Housing industry now has a national bonus of 100% from having five of five resources (granite, limestone, clay, wood and sand). Adding a second Wood in Washington has our housing regional bonus tapping out at 90%. Good job!
New industry
Our last addition was Wolfram some time ago. With magnesium from right near the start of the Resource Wars, that gives us a 30% national bonus and a maximum regional bonus of 20% in Utah.
The last Unobtanium is out there...

haven't had a break form unseasonable weather in central VA, for over a month, playing heck with gardening, but George is enjoying the unseasonably cool weather :/
To be fair, it's an El Niño year. Weird weather is normal. And if there isn't a big storm in May we get an even bigger one in June...

Nope. They took cobalt instead. And have a very nice set of resources, for that matter.
North America (USA [twice!] ????? why do you need to take more than one. this was the time the usa had to show their not the big a* everyone think of them as a country. well done for showing they are actually bigger a* i hope you dont get all resources.
Why shouldn't we take two?
There's still no Rubber and Saltpeter, and not for a lack of trying. Clearly might makes things right in this tournament.

This is geographically incorrect statement.
Russia, Georgia and Spain belongs to Eurasia.
Russia is in Eastern Europe.
Spain is in Western Europe.
Georgia geographically is located in Asia. Some EU politicians claim Georgia to be in Europe but it has nothing to do with geography.
So you either correct your statement accordingly or remove mentioning of continents.
If you want to be tolerant to incorrect opinions of people who want to live on the Moon but will never be there in reality 😉 regardless of their claims 😉
You're correct, technically Georgia belongs to the Asian continent. Russia as a nation spans two continents (Vladivostok is quite clearly in Asia while St Petersburg is quite clearly in Europe).
I use Eurasia (not a continent name) to distinguish the land between India and the Black Sea that is not part of the Middle East (ie the Red Sea and Persian Gulf areas). This was done for clarity, more than anything else. There is no attempt to assign ethnicity by geography - that way lies eugenics.
Eastern and Western Europe are also not continents, and I may use the distinction in future editions, when there are too many resources labelled "Europe". Just like I used "Eastern Mediterranean region" to encompass Turkey and Egypt...
