Questions for the Candidates

Day 2,083, 07:56 Published in USA USA by DylanBAS

Election season is rolling around, and as the parties collect and tally their primary votes, I decided to ask the four candidates, Oblige, Dr. Luis Sentieiro, New Azazel, and HeapSeppo, some questions varying in topic about their policies. questions that I suspect have not yet been answered. I asked the candidates 5 questions.
1. Will you try to head a military plan to take down TWO?

2. What is the biggest reason someone might have for NOT voting for you?

3.What issue do you find most urgent on your agenda?

4. If you could create one department we don’t already have, what would it be and why?

5. Do you think the shadow congress will have drawbacks? If so, what would they be?

HeapSeppo

1.Well the plan that I have is not to take down TWO, but to free eUS. We need to free ourselves and our allies before we can even think about taking the pain to TWO.

2.The biggest reason would most likely be that I am extremely different from the normal eUS candidate and that I am somewhat new to the eUS scene of politics.

3.That's a freebie. Of course the military effort to free ourselves is the most important one. To do that we really need to pick ourselves together and start communicating within so that everyone know what they are supposed to do, every step on the way.

4.I do not really see a need for another department right now. We have been suffering internally from a lack of communication, until we can start getting it all together and working we really should not have another department.

5.I think this whole thing is bullshit to be quite honest, and if I get elected they will have no in game power at all. A congress can never vote for it's own future in case something happens, guess what, something happened and we do not have a congress in game. They can rule their meta-forum-world if they feel like it, and I welcome them to join me in the discussions that will be opened in matters, but I will never see them as legitimate until a real election has been held.

NewAzazel

1. I will seek the cooperation and opinion of NSC, USAF, independent MUs, and advisors to search through our options and come up with a plan or at least a path to follow that everyone can agree on. I can't promise success, but I can promise an effort to get everyone involved and on the same page.

2. I'm too optimistic and naive. I may not have realistic expectations about what we are capable of, but I tend to assume the best of people and and have faith in those at times that cannot provide. But I'm working on moving towards more grounded beliefs.

3. Leadership. It can solve a majority of our issues at current, including our military situation, foreign affairs, and tone of our community. People need someone to follow, listen to, disagree with, and yell at, and I seek to provide that and become a model to follow, hopefully.

4. Hard to say. We have the departments I'd consider necessary, though I suppose Technology could be recreated and have its usefulness. I don't think adding another department will necessarily solve our problems though.

5. I don't think it should. They already lack any in-game power, so the most they can do is propose a budget to follow and provide opinion on affairs. I would like to keep them as a check to my power and make sure I have some sort of oversight for my actions.

Unfortunately, DLS and Oblige could not be reached for comment, so I will leave you with this. Make your pick wisely.
