Presidential Update - Day 772

Day 772, 13:31 Published in Ireland Ireland by AppleMan

Happy New Year Ireland!

I wish all of you a safe and happy New Year. May you find happiness, health and prosperity in the coming year. The New Year is a time for reflection on your past and joy in looking toward the future. 2009 was a great year for me and I know 2010 can be all that we want it to be.

On to business 🙂
I would like to announce gonzo914 as Pip's replacement at the Ministry of Trade. Gonzo will work with foreign countries to establish trade routes both to and from Ireland. I know there is not much time left in this term but I hope Gonzo can take these days as a springboard into the next term.

I am happy to announce that Digits has nearly completed his work in reorganizing the IDF and setting up the API so we can seamlessly communicate with all of the IDF from one central location. I can say that I am honestly impressed at the volume and quality of work that Digits has put into the IDF website. No matter what happens in the future, he can be proud to have given something to his country that few can match. As his work is nearly complete Digits has expressed to me that he has accomplished everything he set out to do as the IDF Chief of Staff. I will be looking to (possibly as a handoff to the next CP) find a new CoS that can implement this system to its full effect. If you think you have what it takes to step into this duty please contact me.

Have you read our New Citizen Message? I think this is one of the best in the new world. The original forum version was even better but I had to cut it because eRep only allows 1500 characters. For any doubters out there, let me say that our Dail (congress) is a great tool for Ireland's growth. This message is one such shining example.

The Country Presidential Elections as heating up. I have not officially started my campaign but I can say that I am looking forward to the Election. I doubt I'll stay up all night this time though 😉 Good luck to all the candidates!
