Presidential Elections; Interview with the two candidates!

Day 2,571, 08:21 Published in Netherlands Slovakia by Willem The Conqueror

Dear Readers,

And there it is again, that time of the month, can you guess what it is? The Presidential Elections! (If you are Dutch in real-life and you said Sinterklaas than that's also a good answer).

As always we have interview(s) with the candidate(s) of the elections, this time Lord Jale and GEN. DE LA REY are the participants. We have asked them 7 normal questions, the same questions we ask the participants every month again.

But that doesn't matter, let's begin with the interviews!
We'll begin with Lord Jale!

1. Why do you want to be the next President of the eNetherlands?
I want to become next President of the eNetherlands because believe in my program and cabinet very much.
In next month we could benefit very much with new situation where alliances are changing.
It comes also as logical step in my political career, it is some kind of wish and ambition which come with time. You may remember how I was talking in my first moments as politician, I was not able to believe that I will run for CP one day, so now I think that maybe I had become much mature politician and step by step with support of friends and fans I decided to candidate for President.

2. What do you think of the current situation in the eNetherlands?
I am pleased with current situation, even it is not all wonderful !
Politically we are doing pretty good job, we have our goals and our Government and Congress are trying to finalize them.
But we as society have big problem and that is our losing of citizens from month to month. Personally, if I become next CP I have some plans how to get back most of dead citizens, but problem I meet here is how we can keep them, so they do not log out permanently again.
But as I can read population problem is something what all erepublik countries have. So it is not and can not be fault of any specific Government or President.

3. Are there any key problem(s) where the eNetherlands is struggling with?
I consider that alliances situation is key problem which me and my cabinet will be working at. It is because we can measure results in this field, population will see results during our term immediately.
Population may also be called key problem but I can not promise anything because this field is not predictable; I could do some great things in solving our population problem, but also my efforts could be for nothing too!

4. How do you want to solve these key problem(s)?
I am little limited to speak about alliances as you could find out from my announcement of candidacy for CP article. I can only say that me and my cabinet will continue working what current government has already started.
I personally can predict how this situation will end up but I can not say nothing until we do not have signed agreement.

5. What's your opinion about the achievements of our current President?
I cannot give precise and objective review because this month I am not member of Congress or Government and I do not have access to all sections from our national forum.
But from information I do know as citizen and I&W Party president I can say that he is doing pretty good job. I would probably try to do at least 90% as he did if I am President.
What I liked the most is probably his efforts in build up the supply system for our army.

6. What would you have done differently?
Probably nothing.

7. Have you got anything left to say to the citizens of the eNetherlands?
Yes I would like to invite them to come at elections and vote for whoever they like me or my friend GEN. DE LA REY, because if more members of society vote that gives more legitimacy to chosen candidate and it is more chance that the better will win.
And now we'll continue with GEN. DE LA REY!

1. Why do you want to be the next President of the eNetherlands?
The country desperately needs change to enable activity.

2. What do you think of the current situation in the eNetherlands?
Declining population, loss of great players, no real wars, no real allies, no real enemies, very little to talk about. I would call it dire.

3. Are there any key problem(s) where the eNetherlands is struggling with?
The key problem would be the self image of E-NL. Many senior players have a defeatist attitude. As a nation we are made to feel worthless and insignificant. Fear of failure is preventing us from playing the game. We have a wait and see attitude in respect of all developments.

4. How do you want to solve these key problem(s)?
Nation building would be a priority, we desperately need national pride. I would make it my permanent job to look for E-NL involvement in wars to generate activity for our nation.

5. What's your opinion about the achievements of our current President?
The current president has made fantastic progress in trying to fix our communes, and has to be commended on managing to increase income for the nation.

6. What would you have done differently?
I would have used the income to generate activity and save lives in the process.
A good balance is needed, In the long run it does not help E-NL to have a great bank balance but 50% less people.

7. Have you got anything left to say to the citizens of the eNetherlands?
There are many of my countrymen that still believe in E-NL, that we are still worth something, that we can be meaning full. I appeal to those doubters that still remain, let go of that fear within, crucify the defeatist attitude, and join us in putting E-NL back on the map.
