Open Divisions

I had this idea of a open division system where any player could fight in their division as usual but also in upper division by paying some access fee. Thanks to the Infantry Kit, levels dont matter anymore, so it would open up the playing field where now one side has d4 advantage and other side has lower divisions advantage. Plato gets his gold too.

Example: 3 Level access: 10g [D1-D4] per campaign
2 level access: 6g[D2-D4,D1-D3]per campaign
1 level access: 4g[D1-D2, D2-D3, D3-D4]per campaign

Goes without saying, but this will be only one way; lower divisions can access upper divisions, but not the other way round. This is just an instant idea and I haven't given much thought into it. So thoughts, suggestions, criticism all welcome. 🙂

I'd rather see divisions based on strength or account age than XP. What's the point of putting n00bs in D1 if there's some bugger with over 100k strength making a mockery of their efforts?

I also believe that divisions should be based on strength. It would allow players with similar characteristics to compete each other which is the right thing to do.

Nice idea but has only one problem - gives even more reasons for people to stay in the lower divisions.

People already want to stay in lower division. This takes that into consideration to bring some uncertainty into wars which will make it more exciting. Now you know which countries will win which division.
