Opening Statement

Today I am very pleased to announce my candidacy to represent Tibet in Congress. I am running under the banner of the USWP and am very grateful for this opportunity to potentially serve the eUSA in a new role. I hope this article helps the voting public to get to know me and understand my point of view.


General Principles:

Stewardship

I believe that decisions made by Congress should be based on the needs of the eUSA community at large, not specific individuals or special interest groups.

Accountability

If elected I will publish a weekly article recapping every vote I cast and an explanation of the reason behind that vote.

Flexibility

Over the past several months the game Admins have made sweeping changes to the “physics” of the game. I believe this means that citizens in leadership roles should keep an open mind and be willing to adapt country laws and organizations to best take advantage of changing game dynamics.

Moderation

This internet community is very diverse and energetic. Regrettably that energy is sometimes expressed in a negative fashion. Trolls try and shape public discourse by hurling metaphorical poo-poo. IMHO the best way to deal with negativity is to ignore it. If elected to congress I will endeavor to work with positive individuals and avoid the pitfall of “pig wrestling” with negative people.

Economy

The economy is in a state of flux. Wages and prices have both fluctuated as General Managers learn how to best manage their business in accordance with new resource and production rules. While this period of change seems to be ending I believe that business managers need stability while they align their business goals with the new reality. Therefore I don’t see myself supporting any measures that would change the current structure of taxes, tariffs and minimum wage. Should the economic scene change in an unanticipated fashion I will seek out advice from economic experts and make decisions based off their input.



Military

During my tenure in the eMilitary I founded AGE (Army) AGW (Cavalry) the Army Public Affairs Office and the Army Rangers. I also served as CJCS during the successful liberations of South Africa, Israel, Finland and Australia. I currently serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff with the rank of Advisor. If elected to congress I hope to act as a bridge between the military community, the political community and the USA citizenry at large.


MPPs/Alliances

The alliance structure of the eWorld is undergoing great change. I believe that it is imperative that the USA stay true to stalwart friends who have aided us in the past.

I also believe that there is a need to codify an MPP policy and share this policy with our friends and allies. My proposal is that a “Black List” of enemy nations (I’m looking at you, Servia) be developed by the Country President, CJCS and their respective advisors. The “Black List” would then be approved by a simple majority vote by Congress on the eusaforum. Once confirmed this list would be shared with friendly nations and various CPs and MoFAs would be informed that we will not MPP with any country that signs or renews an MPP with a “Black List” country. I think this policy would be good for the USA & our friends as it clarifies our expectations.


Non Binding Campaign “Promise:"

In order to be a good politician I feel like I have to make a campaign promise that everyone knows I will not keep. Therefore If you vote for me I will, as a token of thanks, send you a Tibetan Mastiff puppy.
