Dear friends and allies,

After receiving many PM's and beeing asked by various friends what my political position is regarding the current situation in ePortugal, I decided to release this article and to make it public.

First of all, I want to highlight that I have no Political activity on a national level since a long time and am only in contact with Portuguese Leadership via a mass PM where I represent Portugal's biggest MU, as the first commander of UMP; Uniao Militar Portuguesa.
( since April 15th I left UMP and am representing the MAD ARMY in the same PM).

To understand, what is going on in ePt at the moment, we need to go one month back in time and recall an ePortuguese Airstike on the lovely eNetherlands, executed with the aim to gain borders with eGermark.
Although I was against an AS on eNL for the simple fact that Holland is my native RL country, I accepted the will of the majority and only stated that I would not fight against my RL county. The AS went well.... So far so good.

Things went wrong when ePoland blocked ePortugal's border with eGermark, leaving ePortugal in northern Europe with no plan B. and because the AS was paid for and carried out successfully ePortugal was now strugling with it's position in eNL. On one hand ePT never had the intention to occupy eNL, but was now hesitating to leave it all behind with no joy and started looking for alternatives knowing it had to leave eNL soon to avoid keeping a smaller nation partially under it's power.

While ePT was deciding what to do next, MEK day ( MU birthday) popped up and to celebrate it's aniversary, MEK attacked the eUK and installed a dictator in the land of the Queen. This event, gave the ePt government the momentum to fight the eUK. Again, I expressed myself in the mass PM against the attack on the eUK, and supported, as an alternative to provide diversity to the Portuguese community, a new AS in Asia to help Colombia. Despite my personal opinion beeing again part of a minority, I accepted the vote of majority once again and as the commander of UMP I stated that my MU would follow Governmental orders and support the war.

Via strategic moves ePT managed to keep one border with the UK ( in eNorway) and the campaign vs the eUK soon kicked off. In the event of the ePT vs eUK batlle, as I was seeing how the Portuguese government was investing and gaining points I decided to help out with C.O's as well like promissed earlier. Soon it became an epic batlle and 5 minutes before the end of the famous round all my available MU's and personal CC's where invested in order to maintain the batlle barr in ePortuguese favour.

In the dying seconds of the round the portuguese cc's dried up, the barr moved to the eUK, and Portugal lost 10 points in the 4th divission in the most critical round of the camaign. I was initially only dissapointed, but accepted the defeat as I knew I did all I could to help ePT government. This was untill I opened the mass PM again and saw that the c.o. dried up due to a misunderstanding among ePortuguese political leaders.

In the heat of the moment I was furious and eaven asked for the reponsabile's head on a plate. In my point of vieuw the government betrayed me and my MU, by stimulating us to fight, and after giving all I had, I missed out 10 critical campaign points due to the lack of a C.O. in the dying seconds.

Like me there were plenty other players helping out in this batlle who also felt betrayed. One can argue why many of these people did not place personal vallue in the batlle in the form of C.O's to maintain the barr during the last minute, but as I can't judge another man's wallet, I can only speak for myself and am consious that I gave it all I had.

So to pass my vieuw, I believe that the ePT Gov. was one big fail this month, but this should never be the reason to install a dictatorship without public consent.
I will therefor fight hard to restore democracy and hope for the ePortuguese society to better choose who they elect and put on certain influencial spots going forward.

This episode of ePortuguese history, made me decide to leave the country and to start a new project, not beeing obliged to governmental orders ever again. However, after having said this, I am primarily ePortuguese in game and believe my ecommunity deserves their democratic rights, so with this, I conclude my personal view by asking all my friends and allies of a democratic ePortugal to .........
HELP RESTORE DEMOCRACY IN PORTUGAL .
