My new plan for the eUSA going forward is that we should slowly disband the democracy. We need to centralize power in a benevolent leader that is less accountable. Congress will always be the illusion of choice and I will never get what I want anyway. So why not get more of what I want? I think most people could come to the same conclusion.
I think congress could function as a body that has the power to keep the government in check. They would have access to all proceedings as usual. But the government will be a collaboration of technocrats, our benevolent leader, and a select group of congressmen that congress nominates through an alternative vote system to ensure fair representation. If congress doesn't like anything they see they can always recall the central committee. And they will still have the power of constitutional amendments.
I call on congress to actually disband themselves. Lets step asside and make Fingerguns the Queen so that she can choose who gets to be our technocrats and benevolent leaders when she does not desire to rule. The eUSA will be far
better for it. We could actually get stuff done then.

I thought this sounded good until you said make me queen. I mean I could see making Pfeiffer the king, but I should not be in charge of America.
All I was saying is that the queen can appoint the leader. Wouldn't it be more sexy if you were in charge watching while he does all the work.

why play to the elites' strength? Being elected to CP isn't all that. A lottery system for rigging the election would be funnier. Set up a rotating committee to award entries into latest CP lottery (if it isn't rotating, it would be as stale as things are now), have the benefactor, the troll, the campaign hero and draw the winner. Hasn't the elections been just a formality for some time now?
I never said the election was rigged in anyone's favor. It is too equally rigged between multiple elitist and opposition. All I am saying. Is we need a mixed technocracy, authoritarian, and democracy.

never heard of that book until now... Read most everything of KV's but do not keep up with recent publications (so much to chose from - reading Churchill's "River War"), favorite might be "Bluebeard"
but this game is, has been, so rigged, even the population was rigged (seriously, prior to the failed upgrade the elitest tanked the economy to drive players away). Trolling is the only fun left to this game, because of the ease a single player can buy influence (amirite Gnil?).
They have been driving citizens away since always. Admin hasn't listened to their player base since the elitist cried like babies and got them to roll back 'eRepublik Rising' and why should they. The eUS Forums are controlled by a tyrannical majority of players, a large percentage of whom are dead in eRepublik and they accomplish nothing that cannot be accomplished in the game.
That is why we need to take the authority away from congress. I think the elites in the executive branch are far better than the congressional elites.
