Making Your Choices Easier, the Response

Day 2,173, 19:44 Published in USA USA by DylanBAS

These were the questions:
1. Will you encourage Americans to fight for allies or encourage building up our military again before we enter another war?
2. Will you lower the work tax or other taxes now that the war is over and a CO blitz is not needed?
3. How can you ensure the ability of your cabinet to do the job when they are largely rookies?
4. Will you protest the censure of Paul Proteus by Congress by trying to use executive power to propose another vote/convince congress members to vote yes on the censure waive?
5. How often will you publish personal articles?
6. What specific differences do you want to exist between USA today and in one month?

1. Will you encourage Americans to fight for allies or encourage building up our military again before we enter another war?

It's really a two part issue. We need to keep our military strong through strengthening of USAF and continuing to make it more efficient and better overall. But, we need to be reliable to our allies so that we can rely on them when we need them.

2. Will you lower the work tax or other taxes now that the war is over and a CO blitz is not needed?

I firmly believe in the Fiscal Solvency Act. Once our reserve meets the pre-defined level, that is when we should lower our taxes to a level that covers our expenses adequately.

3. How can you ensure the ability of your cabinet to do the job when they are largely rookies?

I think that a mixture of new and old is important. Just because someone hasn't done a job before isn't a reason not to let their ideas take off. I had never been in a cabinet before my 3 months as Dep SoD and then immediately followed as SoD.

4. Will you protest the censure of Paul Proteus by Congress by trying to use executive power to propose another vote/convince congress members to vote yes on the censure waive?

No longer relevant, but no. With the new information, the censure was not correct. Prior to that, however, I supported leaving it intact.

5. How often will you publish personal articles?

At least 3 times a week.

6. What specific differences do you want to exist between USA today and in one month?

I want to see an improvement in our new player programs. DoE and DoI are definitely going to be the focus on my administration and making sure the people those programs are available to are being helped as much as possible.

1. Both. We have to do both. If you focus on solely ally battles, you lose having trained people. If you go isolationist, you lose the alliance. Neither is good for us, so with my program (which I am working on Gnilraps and Arrden with), we will be looking at gaining strength for our fighters while being a better ally in general to our friends in CoT. Now is the time to step up, at home and abroad.

2. I'll be honest: I am not economically minded. It is my largest weakness. Thisi is why I look and learn from people who know what they are talking about and not trying to pass off some half-assed thought as being what should be done. From the research and reading I've done, lowering taxes needs to be done cautiously. I'm gonna quote Kemal Ergenekon here by saying that the real discussion needs to be about an Oblige-scale disbursement or are we going to outmatch the spending of our enemies. My focus is on disbursement at this point. If taxes are lowered, and there is enough interest in congress that can be found to do it without irreparably harming our programs and the USAF, I am for it.

3. By mixing old and new. If you look at my latest article announcing my cabinet, there's a gentle balance of people who have never done the job before but easily could, and people who have done the job a million times and can help manage. This time, this three months, is about breeding a new generation of leaders. We don't do that by abandoning people with experience. We blend. We build new friendships. We disperse our knowledge, and let the new guys step up to the plate.

4. The Censure of Paul Proteus was rash and frivolous, and it's irrelevant at this point considering that his actions were in fact approved by Malarkey83.

5. At least two WHPRs a week, and at least 2 of my articles per week as well. That is a promise. As an 8 term SoM, it's one you can count on.

6. Massive recruitment, more fun and smiles, and a strong, well-trained military that knows how to fight.

1. Will you encourage Americans to fight for allies or encourage building up our military again before we enter another war?

As per our treaty, we cannot directly attack any TWO/ACT nation, meaning that another war is not feasible for the next few months. We can assist allies in MPPs and RWs while seeking to strengthen our military's efficiency.

2. Will you lower the work tax or other taxes now that the war is over and a CO blitz is not needed?

I will let congress re-evaluate the work-tax, but it is not currently my most pressing concern. I will focus on changing what I can as president and let our congress decide our taxes, though I am in favor of them reaching a compromise to satisfy both ends of the argument.

3. How can you ensure the ability of your cabinet to do the job when they are largely rookies?

Well, that was Israel's proposal, not mine. I will seek to bring in several new people to top slots, but other areas will still be veterans or experienced people.

4. Will you protest the censure of Paul Proteus by Congress by trying to use executive power to propose another vote/convince congress members to vote yes on the censure waive?

I won't. I abstained because Paul is friend but he still broke the rules, which I try to respect. He will retain access as a Party President and cannot be kicked out in-game, so this gesture should be kept to provide some sort of punishment, even if it is small.

5. How often will you publish personal articles?

I will try to publish a few times weekly. I like having substance to my writing, so I don't want to write simply to write.

6. What specific differences do you want to exist between USA today and in one month?

A culture of cooperation, a revival of ideas and experimentation, and an eUS still stable with its regions and its allies.
