Dear eDanes!


In this article I will go through my time as your president for 3 terms. This is little bit late, because I started working in a new task RL and it has taken much energy and also time. There are several other RL reasons, as well as my duties as a moderator which have decreased the time I have had to spend for the “normal” eRepublik. This did also affect my last term.





The first term - June

I had been waiting for such a period of time when I would have time and energy to serve eDenmark as Country President. This period started after I finished my bachelor thesis and started my pretty relaxed summer job. I informed Danish actives that I will be running. Things took an interesting turn when Ilphen decided to run against me. Even when I was a little disheartened because I thought it would mean a crushing defeat for me, I was happy for eDenmark: we’d have a real election.

The elections between me and Ilphen became a legend. Ilphen had the lead from the beginning and I already accepted my loss and promised to act as his MoFA. However, about at midnight the tide turned and I took the lead. When the multivotes had been removed, I had 1 vote more than Ilphen. Any less and Ilphen would have won due exp.
Victory over icon like Ilphen was huge. I was so happy and I wanted to serve eDenmark to fullest of my capabilities. I gave away hundreds of tanks and tried to improve our relations with Aurora. Asgard threatened us with an Airstrike which never came. The first term was good but left me hungry.

Second term – July

Second time I didn’t have an “official” candidate. Eventually libertas agreed to run as a back-up. The term was pretty similar to the first one, but I published eDane interviews which were fun. eDenmark was accepted to Aurora HQ and we had NSPP strikes. Second term went also very well, and I was happy with it.


Third term – August

Third term was under the average of these 3 terms. I published interviews of few german people and gave away some tanks, but IRL started to take my time towards the end. My main goal was to force someone to take the lead after me. Luckily we got Ushlau to do so. There really is not much to tell about the last term. We started something against Asgard which is still ongoing. Otherwise everything went pretty smoothly.





During the third term someone mentioned about the 3-term rule in a way that could imply to it being an obstacle. I shot that thought immediately down. It IS good and very important rule. 3 terms, no matter how excellent, is enough. eDenmark needs new and fresh ideas and Presidents. Good terms do also require time, and spending 3 months is already pretty consuming, so even if we had someone capable and willing to pull 4 or 5 terms in an excellent way, we would be burning her/him up. We can’t afford that. The guy/queen can come back after 1 or 5 months when s/he’s energetic again.





I truly enjoyed my Danish Full Term as President. I like the pace of how things happen and actives are always there to help the president. Germark functions well when needed. NSPP and Aurora are own matters, but they are also possibilities for active and creative Presidents.

In short I wish to thank all members of eDanish community. You made it possible.

In the near future I will be less visible in the game and politics. I will focus more in being a moderator, and also I will be away for 2 weeks. Then I will start working on my Master thesis. But like the first doctor in Doctor Who said in 1964:

One day, I shall come back, yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I'm not mistaken in mine.
