Living the Dream!
Chris Carnage
People of eAustralia, followers of the liberal-democratic traditions, champions of capitalism, I have great news for you. We've finally made it, WE'RE LIVING THE CAPITALIST DREAM! Why should we be so pleased at a time when our eCountry is about to be wiped from the map for the umpteenth time this month? I'm glad you asked! Allow me to elaborate.
Let's start by agreeing on the reasons for our colonisation. I've seen some people blaming eIndonesia for hating us, for being bullies, racists, etc, but that just isn't what this is about. The eIndonesian government have explained it, their people understand it, and most of us here in eAustralia understand it - they are invading us because it makes sense! We have some resources that will give them production bonuses. While they could look elsewhere for these resources we present a great opportunity by being relatively powerless and close to them. It is the cheapest way to get the resources they need. Nothing mean and nasty about what they're doing, it just makes sense, right? Any amateur economist will tell you they are simply behaving as 'rational actors'.
The economic colonisation of eAustralia is precisely the outcome one would predict given a capitalist eWorld order. Capitalism is darwinian, only the strong shall survive. Capitalism knows no nationality, it knows no community, it knows no justice. The strong shall survive, the weak shall perish, productivity shall improve and damn the consequences. Cousin Lenin once said that "imperialism is the highest form of capitalism", in fact he made it the title of a book and while the details of his rationale don't directly apply to the eWorld his assertion surely rings true. For all the waffle proponents of capitalism sprout about individual freedoms and choice, the only freedoms that capitalism offer is the freedom of the strong to exploit the weak, the freedom for the powerful to exercise their power unfettered against the vulnerable. It is about the centralisation of power in the hands of a few at an ever-increasing scale.
Capitalism is not about free competitive choices among people who are reasonably equal in their buying and selling of economic power, it is about concentrating capital, concentrating economic power in very few hands using that power to trash everyone who gets in their way.
David Korten
eAustralia does not have the population, the raw strength, to do unto eIndonesia what they are doing unto us. What about our allies? No disrespect to many of our allies who have fought hard for us, but they are rational actors as well. There are higher value battles to fight, a greater strategic return on their investment, than a regional backwater populated with friendly but otherwise valueless citizens. Nothing personal, I know many have fought hard for us out of affection and loyalty when there were higher value targets (irrational actors?) and we have deep gratitude for that, but the inevitability of the conquest of our resources can only be delayed for so long.
The argument that the free market will produce the best possible outcome assumes that the best possible outcome is the systemic exploitation and oppression of the powerless at the hands of the powerful, exactly the situation we find ourselves in again.
Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone.
John Maynard Keynes
I can report that eAustralia is now officially a casualty of capitalism. So cheer up people, we're living the dream!
For those who might feel disheartened by ending up on the losing side of the capitalist game, maybe it's time to try changing the rules. I don't have all the answers, but I know it is time that we put aside the capitalist, free-market oriented ideals that have enslaved and betrayed us time and again and look for a new model. Time to break the shackles, behave irrationally, and find ways to make this cheap bucket of resources we call a country a very expensive target.
We're doing it already, but maybe without thinking about it. After all, if we were all rational actors we would be citizens of a large, safe world power with all the resource bonuses we can eat. Yet here we are, fighting side by side for something that makes no sense, and that surely is the most liberating fact of all.
Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.

the dream is the cake, the cake is a lie
Thanks Bruce, I stand corrected on Darwinism
-but-
I do not alter my stance that a capitalist system will naturally tend toward greater scale and concentration of wealth and power at the expense of a vast and increasing majority of citizens, and that economic colonisation is a natural and necessary progression for a capitalist state.
Any system will work if it is administered fairly an honestly and with mutual respect.
Knock capitalism by all means but remember that communism had Stalin.
eindos are doing what they are doing just because they can (at present)
Its up to eAus to resist them & make them fight for every inch of what they think they can take.
stuff the communist party - evan an eccmmunist one
im confused on how taking a stance such as the communist party will somehow change the very nature of Indonesias "capitalist stance"
i mean assuming 100% of eAustralians joined the communist party then eIndonesia would still be powerful and export its "Imperialist" ways on the people of eAustralia because they would still be acting on their capitalist ways.
by this logic it only makes sense to continue with our capitalist ways simply because it would make no difference if we were to do away with them
I say we try and PTO eIndonesia. Ask your real life friends (no multi's, that's not our style) to register as eIndonesians and when the time is right and we have the numbers they join my party, run for congress, take over their senate and finally, they elect me as Empress of the eIndonesian empire. >: D
All hail me! \o/
Duh, maybe it's a bit late to mention this but...
Did you ever try to play this 'game' differently? Like maybe TALK to Indo and see if they would rent the regions in question? True you would be resource poor but if you were to become friendly with Indo that might keep other big dogs from sniffin' round your door. Stop and think about it. You say they want you because of greed and your the cheapest way to get resources. How about if you didn't put up a fight and they payed you for the privilege? Sounds cheaper than fighting a war every so often.
lol thedillpickl we have tried it all
Indonesians don't "TALK" they "DEMAND" and if we were a weak minded nation we would be their slaves, but we are Aussies and too proud with "HONOR".
"TALKS" are for a mutual discussions and outcomes not ultimatums.
The ACP trying to become big again, you tried once, just let it go.
Capitalism is wealth distributed unevenly. Socialism is poverty distributed evenly.
Thredillpicki, according to you it sounds like eAus has been doing it wrong.
Yes appeasment is always a good strategy, worked every timeit was tried historically. And I am sure eindos would love & respect us if we gave them whatever they deman.. eer asked for - best path to friendship & respect.
Want historical examples Vichy France compared to Serbia, or maybe Finland v Russia.
May cost us but is better than the alternative.
The eAustralian conglomerate will not permit peace with eIndo. Most big ticket corporate spenders are war or hospital industries trying to make a buck and eAus-eIndo NEs are money in the bag.
P.S. Keynes' theories made Milton Friedman look centrist - hardly a role model to promote a communist agenda.
@Tim - "im confused on how taking a stance such as the communist party will somehow change the very nature of Indonesias "capitalist stance"
I'm not suggesting that it will, the gist of the article is that continued adherence to a system that inevitably leads to the demise of our country is probably misplaced devotion, and alternatives should be considered.
@Louise Brooks - "Any system will work if it is administered fairly an honestly and with mutual respect."
We might agree to disagree there, I don't believe it is possible to administer capitalism fairly and honestly and with mutual respect as the gravitation toward centralisation of wealth and power renders administrations either corrupt or ineffective.
Also thanks for distinguishing between Stalinism (which is abhorrent) and eCommunism as many people equate one with the other, your comments are appreciated.
@infin - "Capitalism is wealth distributed unevenly. Socialism is poverty distributed evenly."
Well, I'm not a socialist, but welcome to the 3rd world😉.
@TJ - "P.S. Keynes' theories made Milton Friedman look centrist - hardly a role model to promote a communist agenda."
Keynes is not a role model for me, but it's a nice quote I think. As a broad generalisation Keynes advocated use of fiscal surplus/deficit to smooth the business cycle and Keynesian economics today is usually advocated by proponents of so-called "big government". Funny how we only hear about Keynesian economics during times of recession (i.e. when Keynes would advocate deficit budgets). Friedman was a great thinker but IMO his advocacy of small, hands-off government and reliance on money supply to manage the business cycle couldn't be considered to sit to the left of Keynes.
@Klonam - "The ACP trying to become big again, you tried once, just let it go."
I personally have never been particularly interested in making ACP a "big" party, just a great party. Radical movements are usually populated by radical people who by definition make up a minority.
If ACP gets big it means one of two things:
1. The revolution is in progress or complete
2. We sold out
I agree with those who argue that appeasement has not succeeded in the past and will not provide a stable future. At best it might give us a bit of breathing space for a week or 2.
@ Miss Wolf - when you're eternal empress of the eIndonesian empire I will have great pleasure in telling my grandchildren I was one of your minions, I'll start baking cakes to hand out to potential voters😉.
Shut the hell up, Carnage, and get back to your Crimson commune slave pit. There are ditches to dig and license plates to manufacture, we don't have time for silly antics such as "articles".
😃😃
lol@Chris
Save a slice for me too! ^__^
@ Chris Carnage, I would tend to agree with you, however Capitalism should not be equated with democracy. I truely democratic system should act to balance the rights of citizens.
Also what you said about capitalism not working can also be applied to communism. Definately communism is not Stalinism or Trotskyism or Maoism etc - they are all perversions of the original ideal. The closest to true communism is an Amish community - however there is a limit to the size, I think its 150 people. After that it does not work.
But the problem here is not the set up of eAus but the problem of eindo greed.
As I see it there should be unremitting resistance to their arrogance.
"As I see it there should be unremitting resistance to their arrogance."
On this I agree wholeheartedly
Abandon the delusion that Indonesia can be reasoned with or that Australia can survive as a region. Give up your citizenship and become Indonesian in name. Become an Australian community bigger than a flag - a nation within the maw of the dragon.
You gain the ability to live and work in your native region free of conquest.
You gain +5 NRB or 200% productivity in your companies.
You gain the opportunity to participate in the politics of a country that doesn't get wipe every month for lulz and greed.
You gain maximum training and ranking in more daily wars that you can dream of.
Participate in the broader society with fight and vigour - your heart will always be True Blue - you do not need a flag for that. Become the change Indonesia needs from within Indonesia. Why bash your head trying to liberate free Australia when you can liberate oppressed Indonesia instead?
Become the new heart and mind of the dragon, until it too beats True & Blue. Be the change. Recant; integrate; re-emerge.
@Majester
Shut up. 😆
Hey Majester, I have heard that before, I think your post was copied pretty much word for word from a speech by Vidkun Quisling.
