Live From the Infirmary! I know, So exciting!

Day 2,060, 17:30 Published in USA USA by DylanBAS

Hey y'all! Still stuck in the infirmary, but some reasons for happiness remain.

I hear we are doing well on the battlefield. Reading the report that DoD gave of Louisiana made me tear up a little. Made me think about all the soldiers who went through hell with me out there out there to win the day. Since I had nothing better to do, (except play solitaire and drug myself to sleep every few hours) I tried to talk with one of the prisoners we kept. I know that command ordered us to not fraternize with captives, but I saw this as a valuable chance to get intel about what the serbs thought. Unfortunately, most of them were bitter and I couldn’t find a translator.

Anyway, the doctors say I’ll be able to get out by tomorrow and I’ll be back on the field as soon as possible. My ever trusty pal, Timbus, has been telling me that Jackson is being fought over tightly and that American forces have just recently taken the airport. That explains the C-17’s overhead. Once we can get extra supplies in, he says we’ll be able to use mobile artillery from some of the other battles and fly quick air support missions.

The top brass around here are talking about what to do with the Prisoners. Word is that another group of surrendering serbians were killed by the fourth division rather than taking them prisoner. I suppose we have justification given all the stories I’ve heard from the orphans around here. But since we already have captives, the command is split over whether execution is a just punishment. Hopefully, they'll let them live. I myself have no desire for them to die when they don’t have to. We're in a real pickle though since the ordinary joes around here are crying for vengeance and a guard was actually hurt by a rock one of the townsfolk threw.

I hear that resistances have started up all over the place, and so I have my crop of choices once I get out of here. Well, I have to pack my stuff, say bye to a few people I met during my stay, thank the doctors, etc. This is DylanBAS-signing out. See ya on the battlefield!
