We all know by now that basic physical training is important for any soldier.
What most soldiers needs to know is what and how to pack your gear before heading out for a mission.
What you pack depends on your mission, is it a fast “in and out” 25 hit (DO) or possibly a longer stay on the field (defending your country in full scale war).
Third scenario is Black Ops or other special type of activity in hostile grounds.
On DO´s you only need to do 25 hits so you pack light. Basic amount of food rations and weapons of choice. Depending on where you battle keep in mind the right sort of camo pattern in your uniform. Elite MU´s have a wide range of suitable gear depending on the local terrain and so on.
Water bottle is a must even for a short stay on battlefield!
When you prepare to go into a full scale war you need to first of all have your logistics in order. Do not forget to pack your map, intelligence report (if your MU hands out one), these contains vital information on terrain, positions and possible evacuation points and supply depots.
Pack few pair of underwear and socks! You also need an extra pair of technical clothes to keep you warm. In addition of water you need water purifying tablets to keep you alive and battle ready.
Binoculars and night vision is essential gear along extra ammunition and food rations. Smoke and flares needs to be in your inventory since they are light and might save your life.
Remember your back pack is much heavier than in simple DO`s battle, so make sure you have done your physical training.
Sleeping bag is a must, since you don’t know how long your in the field. Some elite MU`s might offer the “luxury” of transportation to base camp for rest between the fighting but don’t ever count this service exists.
Remember to check batteries on your communication devices and night vision gear. Also pack one extra amount of fresh batteries.
At this moment I wont go into the Spec and Black ops since that’s a totally different world of war fare.
