Let's Have A Party

Hi kids!
So here's the deal. Homer J Simpson is our Canadian Minister of Eh-ntertainment this month. His current project is to assign various unusual musical performers that a participant would select a YouTube vid to post. As usual I'm going to be difficult, I've selected my own artist.
Homer's Original Article
The idea is to expose people to different genres of music, ones they may not have listened to previously.
Comment below and I'll give you an artist. You then find the artist on the net (YouTube is easiest), choose a song and post it in a new article with the text from this article.
Make sure you post a pic of the artist as well. If you wish to use the pic as the link to the video:
1- Insert the image like usual i.e.
2- Highlight the picture link
3- Select the "Link" button and paste the video url
4- The finished link looks like this ["url=video url][/url"] without the two "
Link to original article.
Background Info
With my Mother being 1st generation Polish American I was exposed to quite a bit of ethnic stuff. My grandparents 'came over on the boat' right after WWI's end. (Actually Granpa came first, got a job, made some money, then sent for Granma.) Granpa never spoke too much. One day I asked him why he immigrated. He didn't say anything for a couple minutes, then took a long drag on his cigarette. "When Kaiser was defeated and Poland was free there were lots of people that said things about what Germany would do. I figured to leave before the next crazy son of a bitch took over." Granpa was pretty smart.
My early life I lived in Kansas City, Kansas during the 60's. My family's friends didn't listen to "normal" music. The Strawberry Hill district is still full of Polacks (yeah, we call ourselves that), Slovs, Hungs and Croats. These people, most all born in the 'old' country did two things well. They worked hard, long hours without complaint and partied their asses off.
My Selection
Frank Yankovic
Click image for link to Wikipedia article.
America's Polka King, Frank "Frankie" Yankovic was the Elvis Presley of Polka. He toured and played private parties in KC often. He even played at my cousin Bernadette's wedding reception. (That was one helluva party BTW.) My aunt Alice (Bernie's mom) had all his records and went to see him when he played in town. The guy was pretty cool actually. After playing for an hour or two the band joined the party.
In case someone recognizes the name, Frank is not related to "Weird Al" Yankovic but they have performed together.
Polkas are about dancing, drinking and having fun. In that spirit I've picked out a song that a few may consider to not be politically correct. Just so you are aware I'm "heavy" myself. If someone is sensitive to being called "fat" then maybe this vid is not for you. Personally, I think it's freaking hilarious.

This is crazy, I was going to give you Frank......y Valley 😛
You might need to explain to the kids what a cassette is 😉
OK, I'll do that.
The Compact Cassette was the metal oxide tape medium that replace 8 Track cartridges. This allowed for a prehistoric personal music player. We listened to these whilst we rode yellow dinosaurs to school. That was where we learned that the world was flat and virgin sacrifice was required to appease the gods.

Sir, I encourage you to look into Canada's own Polka King, Walter Ostanek. Kitchener-Waterloo hosts the annual Oktoberfest celebration, the largest Bavarian culture festival outside of Bavaria herself, and Walter Ostanek has played Oktoberfest every year since forever while the partygoers eat sausage and drink vast amounts of beer. He also hosted "Polka Time" on local television during the late 70s when musical variety shows were still on the air - the same era as Tommy Hunter, the Family Brown and others.
Frankie Yankovic is indeed a master of the genre, but Walter Ostanek is ours.
E-I-E-I-E-I-O!
You claim to be a Dill Pickle, but you've been a Polski Ogorki all along.
