Kria for Congress!

Day 1,159, 13:46 Published in USA USA by Kria Erikson

So, here I am, running for congress in the great state of Utah. If you would have told me when I joined the Army a year ago that I’d be running for congress today I would have laughed at you, but that’s the way this game goes. I’m not going to hide my military affiliation, but as you can see, I’m not using it to gain votes either. I am not a member of the USDP nor do I consider myself affiliated with them in any way.

Well, now that that military disclaimer is out of the way, I am proud to represent the United States Worker’s Party in my bid for congress.

If elected, I will approach the congressional process with the same diligence I put into my military career. This means no less than checking the forums daily, voting when necessary, contributing to discussion, and chilling on IRC with other congress people.

Although I have not been a member of any political party for much of my career, I always knew many members of and just kind of always felt like I agreed with the ideals of the USWP. When the erepublik rule change occurred that allowed party members and congresscritters to leave their country, I knew that the USWP was the party for me to join.

I pledge to use a reasonable mind when looking at funding issues. As we could see with minimum wage, changes by the admins sometimes require changes in laws, even ones that have stood for a long period of time. Taxes may need to be re-evaluated and I will attempt to keep the best interests of my country in mind. As a military member, I understand the need for funding, and I promise to learn what kind of funding militias require in order to best understand what amounts of funding will best benefit all organizations.

I recognize that our alliances are changing daily, and as such I will use my best judgement and what information I am provided with to make the most informed decision possible. The security of the United States should come first when making (and breaking) alliances.

With this information, I humbly ask your vote in Utah on the 25th of January. Feel free to contact me about any portion of my congressional run!

EDIT: It has come to my attention that Talio Extremist and Ace451 are my opponents in Utah. I would like to wish the best of luck to them as well. May the best candidate win!

EDIT x2: Dell Fargus and creitzell are awesome for being blockers. Much thanks to you for stepping up and not letting PTOers get in on the elections!
