King William the Great Endorses Jacob Rees-Mogg for Prime Minister!
King William the Great
Let's be honest here. The current candidates are quite rubbish. I propose we nominate a right honourable gentleman who represents the best of British values. Restart the current process and make this man Prime Minister! He has what it takes to Make Britain Great Again! I give my full-hearted Royal endorsement for Jacob Rees-Mogg to serve as the next leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister of My Majesty's Government!

All the candidates have plusses and minues - i'm eagerly awaiting the final two before deciding who to vote for.
I don't care. Keep the real life news for yourself - we are playing a game, I come here to detach myself from reality, please respect the players.
Not the first.. surely not the last time.

Yeah I'm with max on this. I clearly have different political views then Op, but if I wanted those sort of chats I'd be on R/ Uk politics. Leave it out mate
Just fart in his general direction
He is not a patriot, he lied in support of Brexit which has made the UK poorer he clearly only cares about his own wealth and does not give a jot about the UK. He solidly backed the lying disgraced former PM Johnson, which shows his lack of integrity. The UK passport less valuable than an Irish one. Which is why most Brexit leaders have dual nationality! It has removed our freedom of movement in Europe. This has ruined the chances of the UK's young people who want a broader education and smashed the dreams of older people who want to retire in the sun. (unless you are extremely rich like this self serving parasite) . Ordinary people are yet to see any Brexit benefits at all.. Bankers who shorted the pound and their pals are the only ones who have benefitted
"He solidly backed the lying disgraced former PM Johnson, which shows his lack of integrity"
And so did the wider general public who gave the Tories a massive majority in the last election despite knowing what he was like.
"Which is why most Brexit leaders have dual nationality"
Really? Care to name names? I bet if you can name people then they were people who campaiged to remain than anyone who campaigned to leave.
"It has removed our freedom of movement in Europe."
Our limitation of freedom of movement at the beginning of 2020 when we left the Transition period is more down to Covid. And I have just easily (a few hours ago) booked a holiday in Germany with no hassle. Don't even need a Visa and in terms of Covid just need to take a test 24-48 hours before and registered the result with the NHS. As for jobs, when you apply you just need to get the employer to fill in a couple of forms confirming your contract etc and then submit with your application for a work visa. If you are too stupid to fill in the couple of extra online forms then I question your ability to get a job.
"This has ruined the chances of the UK's young people who want a broader education"
As per above but change "employer" to University and "work visa" to Student Visa. You seem to think people from the UK are blacklisted or something. We aren't - might mean filling out an additional form but if you are put off applying abroad by the work of spending 10 minutes filling out a form then maybe further education isn't for you.
"smashed the dreams of older people who want to retire in the sun"
Nope. Just fill in additional form demonstrating an ability to pay the bills via your pension etc.
"Ordinary people are yet to see any Brexit benefits at all"
Benefits and costs from Brexit was never going to be seen in the first few years after Brexit and the whole covid pandemic pretty much makes it impossible to actually judge any real negatives. It will only be after 10, 20, 30 years in the future will people be able to look back and make any sort of real judgement. And I suspect that pro-EU will set the baseline and focus where the UK might be worse off, while brexiters will set the baseline and focus where the UK is better off.
Actually the British public rejected Boris Johnson he only got 43% of the vote for his Get brexit done whereas more than 50% voted for parties that wanted another referendum. We no longer have the right to work live or love in the EU. You need to apply and qualify for the right to live in other EU countries many people do not have the resources to do so depending on which country you wanted to move to. We are a third country. There will never be any benefits from leaving the EU. making it more difficult to trade with our closest neighbours is dumb move which (except for Russia is not some thing any other country is likely to try) All the promises made in the referendum by leave were lies. Turkey joining the EU they need us more than we need them, we will get the exact same benefits .. £350 Million a week, cheaper food and clothes, Even the shitty new trade deals are nowhere near compensation for what we have lost. I can't remember the 30 year gap until the unspecified 'benefits' will miraculously appear. The government's own figures show that we are losing 4% of GDP. The only good thing that came from Brexit is that no other EU country will do the same. EU citizens will get priority for jobs over UK citizens in Europe. The UK used to be one of the leaders in the biggest trading bloc in the world now our fishing and farming industries are under threat, our food and manufacturing standards are likely to be made worse and our rivers are flowing with sewage. Leading brexiters like Mogg moved their money out of the UK. Dyson is another one.
Just to let you know if you want to move to Spain permanently you need to show that you have an income of 28k Euros per year (plus 6k for every dependent) OR by property worth 500k Euros .. how many pensioners can afford that?

The resulting reaction above demonstrates exactly why it is NOT wise to post articles linked with real World reality in here.
