We have 5 awesome candidates now for this Presidential election !

● Please stay involved and participate in this election. I am trying to offer you as much information about each candidate that I can.
● Keep your minds open for the qualities each candidate has to offer our country.

This is our next interview with one of the five Candidates.
Please let me introduce
Kimiyimi, aka David.

1. Kimiyimi, please tell us a little about yourself in-game and in real life.

Hi everyone! I am kimiyimi/davidisback/omgimalive. I have played eRepublik as a citizen of eSwitzerland for nearly 1 and a half years. During this time, I have held multiple positions within the national government: I’ve been vMoD four times, MoD two times, vMoFA one time, Congressman six times, and Party President six times (SFP/SPP). My extensive career and experience in the game and eSwitzerland’s politics have culminated in my current campaign for the Office of the Presidency and now I am humbled to be here to participate in this interview; it’s been really nice playing with all of you.

I am an 11 year old kid from Geneva, Switzerland. Last year, I attended school in 6th grade, but I am advancing to 7th grade now since it’s the holidays. I like a lot of things - you can’t imagine how much stuff I like! I am a pro football player in my school, we won the last tournament and my team is considered one of the best in all of Geneva! It’s so cool and awesome; I even won a gold medal! FTW!!! I like music; some people think I am nice and some others a great person, but I know some of you think I am really reserved, problematic and don't like to talk a lot, but the truth is that if you ask for assistance, you will gain my support unconditionally, whether I think of you as an acquaintance, friend, or even a stranger around here. I may seem a bit shy, but this, in part, is because I don't like to interfere with another person's viewpoint. I’m not one to tell others what to do or how to think; that’s their own choice, and I respect that. Because of this, I will normally wait to see how open you are, how willing you are to share with me, before I open up to you.

2. Switzerland is always under threat by larger countries. What plans do you have for keeping us safe?

It depends, diplomacy in general does not resolve conflicts. Wars end not due to peace procedures, but due to one side giving up. That’s the truth, that’s the way this eWorld works and the way this game is for our community. However, if we can try to gain an equilibrium between diplomacy and war in this game with the help of our Allies and Alliance, only then can we create a balance with our interests in the country.

3. Our population has always been small, but now it’s getting even smaller. We are desperate for a baby boom. What plans do you have for increasing citizenship?

I personally have tried to make a baby boom happen in Switzerland, but for many reasons it has simply not happened. Player retention is poor because when people sign up they see many players with such high strength such that there will always be a huge gap and they won't be able to compete. But before we even get to retention there is the issue of getting the sign-ups in the first place! In Switzerland you won't find many rivalries with other citizens; we live our lives respecting the way others live. I believe we should be looking at our immigration policy to help encourage this, and increase the flow of signups. By being more strict on who we allow to join the country we can screen potential members and try to ensure we only allow the most active in, giving our country a boost to both social and political productivity.

4. Tell us about any other goals you may have.

That question will be answered with my policies and follow-up articles.

5. How do you feel about transparency in government and communication in general?

I believe transparency in government is key to restoring our nation's faith in its elected leaders. Right now, some people are talking about the proposed Swiss National Army (SNA) commune, but few know how it would work, and even fewer know how they would get the resources. That’s a problem; our government just doesn’t talk openly to the community. I believe in participation and the best way to work with it is with a better communication with our community. It’s time to develop an open government with referendums as its mechanism, to involve every single person who plays in this country or almost the people who still play, and fully involved in the process to becoming a better country.

6. As a small country, we need all the friends we can get. How do you feel about MPPs and how would you fund them.

“You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” I am talking about our plans of action at wars, we can’t go to war without a plan. In war, eSwitzerland has occasionally proved strong, but we have gone to war with no plans before and we failed; the result manifesting in lack of interest from the community in later wars. Our treasury is not unlimited, and we need to think of our economy and regions for bonuses instead a congress every 23rd of each month. My main concern is the way we can obtain new funds, and spend them wisely, not the way we can waste money in pointless places.

7. Have you used our forum? How can we increase participation?

Yes, I have. As for the forums, well, I’m not here trying to being negative, but realistic, and most people just don’t like to use a forum as a way of communication. The only way we can increase participation is with the help of the citizens, by making active citizens aware of the forums and their benefit, and how important they are to running eSwitzerland.

8. How can we turn our 2 clickers into active citizens?

With fun instead of a country/media full of hate.

Thank you so much for this interview, good luck to the other candidates, and have a nice day!

David.
