It's all kicking off, lads!

Day 1,808, 09:37 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Lord Lewis Cromwell

Hi everyone!

Today we have begun a training war with our willing neighbours Germany! What would a training war be without a little training?

Where to fight!
The battlefield is here for those not involved in military units who I think are all setting their orders to this war for the duration. Those in military units following events will find orders on their home page and can easily participate in the war against our new Natural Enemy (NE) which gives us a damage and rank bonus!

Efficient fighting!
Regardless of how much you want to lay down damage in a battle or damage an enemy (in this instance Germany), there are ways to increase our nation's chances of winning campaigns if you have time during the day to check on how a campaign is going.

Your division's battle, whether division 1 up to 4, is important. Every victory is important for the overall success and as such you should always aim to win. However, laying down a ton of damage and being unable to take part in further battles for the rest of the day, effectively burning your resources quickly, is not always the best thing to do.

Here's a screenshot:

The important things to make sure of is that the bar is over 50% in our favour. We organise training wars in order to get practice and experience in maintaining advantages and so on, this bar is the important part of the battle.

If you're the patient type, and with limited resources to use (like most of us) it's important to use your resources (weapons, food and energy bars) effectively. In a battle like this, on our homeland, we would hate to lose the campaign overall which would give one of our home regions to the enemy. In this case, though, victory or defeat is not such a huge issue as this is considered a friendly war.

But all practice is good practice. Slamming the bar up to 70-80% can be done, even some battles go so far as 90-95% if one country has vast amounts of resources/players more than the other, but it does not ensure victory any faster or win any more points for the campaign than a 51%/49% spread does. The points on the left and right of the bar are the goal, with victory in the battle declared when 1800 points are scored. Likewise if we are losing with the bar heavily into our half it is sometimes better to save for the next battle than to fight in vain.

Think of it like this. Every campaign is like a league with different divisions and each round is a match. Winning one match 7-0 then losing the consequent matches 0-1 repeatedly means you lose the league on points. So we as a small nation need to utilise our resources well and in a real battle would aim for smaller margins of victory in order to win more rounds.

Help with resources
Of course, as a great nation we are not without resources entirely! There are ways for you to increase your fighting potential if you don't have enough resources yourself to fulfill your quota for the day. Examples include the NHS and ESO setups for new players (check links for more details).

These are just a couple of the schemes widely available to all members of the eUK community! I'm sure you'll find plenty of help from your MU's, parties and friends should you find yourself short, but make sure you utilise every means available and take advantage of these wars on our doorstep in order to rank up and deal more damage in your future fights!

Fight well and send me any questions if I can help! Be cool, too
