________________IRULE777 FOR COUNTRY PRESIDENT________________

G'Day my fellow Australians. My names Irule777, some of you know me, some may not (hopefully more of the first). I've been a long time player of eRepublik and a long time citizen and government member of Australia. I've strived to help make this game more fun for everyone else and this country better for all during my time here. And I'm happy to continue with that, this time hopefully on another level.

Today I'd like to announce my candidature for Country President!

There's no denying that Australia has problems. In fact, every country does, and that in the end is what makes politics what it is. It's also why I'm here today. Australia is certainly not a perfect place and each President will do their best to change that. I'm here today to throw my ideas forward and toss my hat into the ring.

As a long time player of eRepublik I’ve gotten into many government positions and game items in my time. In Australia alone I’ve held positions in just about every department and the senate for multiple terms. Every job I’ve gotten or done I have done to the best of my ability and always will. I use IRC for large amounts of the day and whenever I’m on, will always spare time for a talk with anyone who is interested in one. I’m not going to be a CP who doesn’t answer messages or queries even when they are actually on. Trust me, I’ve dealt with those before, and they're no fun or help to anyone. So why elect one?

So I’m not here to tell you how the other candidates suck or what they’ve ruined in the past. No, I’m here to tell you about what I want to do and how you can get involved and how this country will be affected.



Defense/Chile Occupation
The Chile occupation is no doubt a big deal for the upcoming term. Chile is larger than us, has ally support, more funding, and all our territories. They’re big yes, but we’re certainly not even close to being out of this fight. We’ve fought off Indonesia and the other big boys, we can certainly deal with Chile.

This term my cabinet, my defense team and I will work tirelessly on getting out supplies, coordinating our MU’s effectively and efficiently, hiring mercs and fighters when necessary, strategizing, and working closely with our allies. Each of these will be essential to our efforts in this war and our chances at re-gaining our regions.

Allies are a strong part in any war and we as Australian’s have plenty of strong allies that we can call on. This last term allies delivered a lot of help in damage and with good coordination we know they're happy to help us out as much as they can again this term. My Foreign affairs team has good connections, friendships, and allegiances with our allies and will work to coordinate stronger efforts than we have ever before.

This war is not hopeless, our country is not dead, and our regions are recoverable. This coming term we can say goodbye to Chile and welcome back that special color of green from Australia, to the map again.

(This was like super undescriptive of the actual plan for Chile, I’m aware. My next speech article will go more in depth with the Chile situation 🙂 )



Foreign Affairs
This term my foreign team and I will work not only with our current allies on the war efforts and continued relations, but we’ll as well work with potential allies and our neighbors to engage in the best relationships possible (No that’s not fancy wording for lets sign a treaty with Indonesia/Chile, lol). My team will be comprised of experienced and active individuals who will be more than capable of handling the workload, along with me, that will present itself this term.

Education & Activity
Education has always been considered a much less important department. In my opinion, our education of noobs and new players is one of the most important things we can do, right on up there with defense and foreign affairs. An educated noob base provides for strong lower divisions and a strong future.

In all honesty, how many noobs do you see on IRC these days (I’m not talking about people you don’t like and call noobs constantly 😛). Because the number isn’t that high. My education department and I this term will work not only with continued articles, guides, and player help, but with activity improvement, IRC recognition, and more pushing for newer players to get involved and into the game.

Active people, IRC users, and forum users are usually more into this game than others (even those who oppose the forums but use the game very much) and provide a lot of help and effort to this country. Could you imagine having loads of more people like that? Because I could.



Information
People always talk about how sometimes our governments don't release enough information on what’s going on, who’s doing what, and how everything’s going. As the people who elected the leader, you have more than a right to know about this. For a lot of the more recent CP terms there’s been a real lack of information articles and CP articles. This is something I WILL change. Information is not a challenging job, there shouldn't be issues with it.

As CP I promise to hold my administration to a higher standard on informing the citizens and people of Australia. I will release CP articles, information department articles, defense articles, education articles, and maybe even some articles from foreign affairs or finance. You all have a right to know what we as the government are doing for you. How else could you make an informed voting decision or get involved?

Cabinet
Cabinet items have always been very debated. Do you have a big cabinet? A small one? I personally think a medium sized cabinet of active players gets the job done just fine. As such I plan to take on active members of this game to the higher positions and of course in the interest of noob education and new player activity, welcome anyone newer into the game or cabinet atmosphere to shoot me a message for a lower job. I welcome anyone who wishes to give it a try to come take a learning position. Now granted you won’t be the leader of a department on day one, but everyone starts off somewhere and if you’re interested, then why not give it a shot?

Not only that, but to anyone wishing to apply for anything, keep this in mind. I’m looking for active cabinet members this term on IRC and in game and who complete assignments on time. You won’t do all my work of course, but I will delegate some tasks to my staff. To all applicants also remember, your political party means absolutely nothing to me. I don’t care if your APP, AI, ANP, or any of the others. If you’re active, committed and ready to help, come and hop on. People constantly complain it’s the same people in the cabinet. Well guess what, come ask for a spot and bam, that’s no longer true. I’m more than happy to have a different cabinet and in fact would prefer it.



Other Goals and Term Information
Throughout the campaign I will of course, keep you updated on cabinet members, goals, and ideas to the best of my ability. I promise to as well work throughout the term to keep you updated on the cabinet’s workings and the government’s movements. I also promise to listen to the people’s wants and needs to the best of my abilities and to do everything in my power to strive for a better Australia.

Aussies are a powerful group and it’s time we show the world how spectacular we can really be. This upcoming November Fifth, Vote Irule777 for Country President/Prime Minister of Australia.
