Interview with Derphoof. Herp to the Derp!

Day 2,062, 20:39 Published in USA USA by DylanBAS

Hello everyone! Today I interviewed Derphoof, our MoFA. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

😒orry, I was away for a while! Ya still here?
: yep
: Well, I'm up for questions if you have any!
: sure thing.
: How do you feel about being MoFA?
: I feel great about it! It's a lot of hard work, but you get to meet and work with a lot of good people from all across the globe.

: what kind of people?
: You meet government types like foreign ministers, CP's, heads of alliances, but you also meet regular people from other countries who simply want to do an interview or ask you a couple questions.
: Cool. Why do you think Paul Proteus chose you?
: I think Paul Proteus chose me because he knows I'm very active and quite passionate about the game. Plus, foreign affairs is usually what I find most interesting. It also helps that we've also gotten along very well in this game.
: Well it seems like you've done a good job so far. What do you have planned in foreign policy for the rest of your term?
: I'm simply trying to help our CoT allies in any way that I can, maintain a very good relationship with them and friendly/bro-level countries, while trying to put forth a positive image of eAmerica in everything I do.
: A lot of people are expressing discontent with CoT. What is your analysis of this?
: It's natural to feel that discontent. We are severely out damaged by TWO and that is why our alliance is losing so often. It's simply very difficult to win.
: That is why I would say most Americans are upset. CoT is losing, and there's seemingly nothing we can do about it, barring a shakeup in world affairs.
: Do you think CoT could communicate better? We seem to be unable to plan alongside CoT member states.
: CoT could certainly communicate better. From my short experience inside the alliance, the communication does indeed seem to be getting better.
: that's good, but will your work as ATO leader interfere with foreign policy work?
: I do not believe that it will. ATO organization falls under the Department of Homeland Security. So while I will have to work with the party, thankfully I do not have to do any organizing.
: That's a relief. I'm sure it would be a lot on your plate. Now this may be a strange question, but are you on speaking term with any TWO nation MoFA’s?
: Honestly, I have not had much of a chance to interact with them. This is not to say that I am opposed to chatting with them or discussing things. However, we really haven't had much of anything to discuss. Plus, they have their own alliance internal problems to deal with at the moment.
: I saw the accusations fly myself. 🙂
: Speaking of TWO, what TWO country would you have the least objection to us being allies with?
: If I were to have to pick one nation, it would be Spain. Now, this isn't to cause more drama, but it is the nation that we have gotten along best with in TWO. They didn't invade us, and they support our South American allies in CoT like Brazil and Chile. The only downside is that they occupy Canada for the time being.
: probably the best choice. They even rebelled from TWO by MPPing Chile and Brazil.
: Very true! It's been quite an entertaining week as a result of their support for those nations.
: Now, on a lighter note, would you support the creation of a wristband saying, “WWDD”?

: As in "What Would Dylan Do?"
: What would Derphoof do? But take your pick. I actually didn't think of that. 😃
: Haha, either one is a good option! Perhaps you should start an indiegogo campaign!
: perhaps I will. 😉
: I look forward to seeing it on store shelves everywhere 😛
: I'll be sure to give you the first one. Anyway, on a darker note, The AFA seems to just reform every time we PTO it. What solution do you see to this regress?
: Honestly, we just need to keep being aggressive. If you noticed, the AFA lost about 150 votes when it was ATO'd by Stewy. Then they lost members over the course of the month due to the Serbian gold mine and loss of American regions.
: If we took it again, it would be yet another blow to the PTO-ers, knocking out many more of their voters, I'm sure.
: Do you think those leaving members will return eventually?
: Honestly, I don't think that many people who leave the country will come back. Plus, as we've seen from Stewy's victory, there are a lot of stragglers that don't move to the new party after we take them down.
: In terms of ATO and all other aspects, what country is our greatest ally?
: It's hard to say. Brazil, Croatia, and Albania have been our strongest supporters, willing to pledge as many people as it takes to keep the PTO from gaining power.
: Really, if you had to pick one.
: Ummm... I'd say Croatia. They've had an incredibly strong ATO presence.
: I can't say I disagree.
: Last question, and I'm saying this on the record against my better instincts, where did you get that Coke you were sniffing in the paper?
: We may or may not have a secret treaty with the Colombian Government to get copious amounts of cocaine....

: Yep, secret. Who is their, "Public Relations Head"? I've got to get in touch with him. 😉😉
: My team of lawyers is telling me that it is not wise to disclose that information. 😛
: well thank you anyway for answering all these questions. I'm sure the people will love to hear this. Do you have anything you'd like to say last?
: Be sure to subscribe to this paper for more interviews! Oh, and keep on fighting the invaders!
: Thank you. DylanBAS-Out
