Interview: RANGER Chucky Norris

Day 1,698, 20:08 Published in USA USA by bombonato

75th RANGER HQ, Day 1698, 14:00 hours.

Question time with ARMY Ranger Chucky Norris.

Last week Bombonato had a nice conversation with our fellow ARMY Ranger Chucky Norris`.

Chucky Norris is a fellow US ARMY RANGER whose career is as long as it is successful. Chucky is Canadian, and my personal favorite example of how our two countries became both allies and friends. He has achieved success in various positions, ranks and jobs in the game.

RANGERS lead the way, and Chucky is no exception. We sat for a little chat the other day and talked about his career, the game, what he believes in... and, of course, the ARMY!

The Times asked Chucky for a soumdtrack, and he chose Indestructible by Disturbed. Hit play and enjoy the interview!

Bombonato: Chucky we've been friends in game for what... over a year?

Chucky Norris: It's been quite some time! It dated back from when I was MoD in Canada and we we're coordinating strikes and operations. wasn't it in V1?

Bombonato: Yep what campaign were we fighting back then?

Chucky Norris: Probably World on Fire if you ask me!

Bombonato: I liked how we went on the offensive back then! You were serving in CAF too right?

Chucky Norris: Yes, in different role but the last I reach was Second in Command of the entire army

Bombonato: You did pretty good. Fighting with CAF was always fun! How did you manage to keep a finger on the trigger while doing politics? Was that a necessity or progression in your career...

Chucky Norris: There has been several different stage in my political career, I started as a soldier first and after seeing many presidents who failed their duty to the military, I decided to run myself. I had a fair share of support, both in the military, and politicians from my many terms as MoD and MoFA. I felt a bit disappointed by the job of CP so much it was thankless. This is why I focused again on the military role for some time after. But like everything in life, you get bored and you need something new. This is the main reason I've been somewhat avoiding devoting too much time to my career as a soldier lately, and focusing more on the legislative branch. It might not stay that way forever, but it sure is satisfying myself now to be with the AMP!

Bombonato: I hear you Chucky! Retirement is so overrated it's not even funny! You had such a nice career in Canada... wanna tell our guys and girls how did you find a home in the ARMY?

Chucky Norris: In this game, everything is about connections. When I was in Canada, it was very important for me to maintain contact with the various military leaders around the world. I had frequent contact with the JCS, Irish MoD and various Eden countries like Romania, Croatia and Poland (back then). At one point, I wanted to implement something new to help us improve our game, and do some work in the foreign relation department. I ran an exchange program in which soldiers would switch home for a whole month. This program was quite structured with phases in which soldier had report to fill and we would seek improvement. The results were pretty good and while doing an exchange with the JCS, we ended up learning a lot on the ARMY. This is how I came to choose the ARMY when I came to the US, that and the fact it had the best people I had ever encountered, like NxNW, Kria, Bomb and Kolv1k

Bombonato: Did you find in the Army the action & values you were looking for?

Chucky Norris: The Army main props for me were more it's community than anything else. Other Units had shinier PR department, other units around the world were offering more supplies, but none had the sense of camaraderie that I found in the US ARMY. I saw so many devoting their own resources to make sure everyone would fight at their fullest, I was blown away. Not a single day I regret committing to the US ARMY. Even after the ARMY departed the governmemt funding, I never felt like I had a good reason to leave. They are doing an incredible service to the US on a continuous basis, without ever receiving anything in return.

Bombonato: It's interesting that you mentioned that... because you have a lot of medals, including a bunch of BH and yet... you like the idea that everyone should be doing the best they can as a team. What was your favorite medal since you joined the ARMY and the RANGERS?

Chucky Norris: I don't personally care for any medals. I only see them as a way to gain money to train for another day!

Bombonato: Come on! RANGERS like fighting hard!

Chucky Norris: They sure do!

Bombonato: Since you don't care much about the medals, tell us what is important to you?

Chucky Norris: On a personal note, I like success. But it normally is something I'm looking for in the group I'm in. I want my party to be the best around

Bombonato: Now we’re talking!

Chucky Norris: and more importantly, I the US army to be recognized for its just value, one of the TOP MU in the US that is providing crazy daily damage The US army is also pretty balanced, as it as people from all division!

Bombonato: I heard the other day the US is again top 5 in damage

Chucky Norris: We are, although we have much more success in division 4, We seem to be lacking the firepower in the lower divisions.

Bombonato: Do you think our MU is part of that increase in damage?

Chucky Norris: Yes I do think so, just with our number of kills daily, we're almost always at the top, so there is no doubt we're doing some damage. And even if those kills are not all made by tanks, they are made by soldiers who can win round in all 4 divisions.

Bombonato: We are working on improving our lower division damage. There's no doubt every kill counts and every fighter is important. I like the way a lower ranked fighter can help us win a campaign now... I wish we had that back in the day!

Bombonato: Chucky... what is the Ranger unit for you?

Chucky Norris: The best of the best we can find in the US. Be it in fighting skills or Leadership experience.

Bombonato: Or fighting like a champ?

Chucky Norris: Yeah

Bombonato: We all know RANGERS are an invitation only unit... that hits or gold alone won't get you in... what you consider to be the most important quality in a RANGER and why?

Chucky Norris: Absolute dedication to your country and squad mate. There is a reason we say RANGERS leads the way. If the US is in peril, the rangers will be the first one to jump in. And no RANGER ever walks alone.

Bombonato: is that your advice to aspiring RANGERS out there?

Chucky Norris: Well I'd say that no single RANGER has ever asked for their positions, they earned it by never stopping to look out for their squad mates. If anyone wants in the RANGERS, they should simply seek out to be the best squad mate they can be.

Bombonato: You said before no RANGER ever walks alone. Have you ever been helped by a fellow RANGER or had the opportunity to reach out and assist one of our guys?

Chucky Norris: Once I had my account hacked and all of my property removed. it didn't take long before the rangers helped me out. Before I couldn't even scream murder my account was being refurbished with USD, tons of USD! I was able to get back up after.
