In Congress Again...

Day 888, 04:50 Published in South Africa USA by Merle Corey

Thanks to all who voted for me. I'm honoured to serve again in May.
As always, I'll use this space to keep you informed of my votes and thoughts.

To clean up the last bits of April:

There was the usual voting proposal flotsam at the end of the term.
We donated some money to RBSA - for.
We tried to raise taxes on grain production - for - this one is controversial - our medium grain region is useless as compared to production in a high-grain region. We should be encouraging land workers to work in diamonds or build up mfg skills. Working in grain is wasteful of resources.

Four other tax-change and minimum wage change laws were people using their proposals at the last minute. NO

The President of Portugal proposed an MPP with us - NO. I feel this was done to block the president of Spain doing the same.

I see that Greyhunter has proposed MPP with Spain - YES. IMO, we are firmly aligned with EDEN and Brolliance.

I"ll be donating my treasure-map congress gold to RBSA/eSAAF again this month, according to Enoch's wishes. I hope the other members of congress do the same.

As always, thanks for reading, and here's to an equally successful May.
