There are already 4 or 5 days since the last „true” article, and I’m still thinking at the questions of Ashwamedh.

As per the author (and I do not necessarily agree this is the only reason) - the jihadi gains the ultimate victory by seeing the fear in his opponent's eyes just before they die.

Is that his only reward? Do you agree? for this is another side of philosophy and thought that is "Eastern" in origin, yet does not come easy to any of the other religions except Islam, though the other religions like Hinduism and Buddhism also originate form the East. So what is it that makes things so different despite being virtual neighbours geographically - how and when did the mindset change so much? What's even more surprising is that Christianity and Islam shared the same birthplace and yet they are the bitterest enemies...”

The ǧihād is, in fact, the struggle of the Muslim believer to achieve the redemption, to be near God and, eventually (not from the beginning – very important aspect) to extend the „good message”, even by force, and to make the others believers too.

When the Prophet, Mohamed, have tell to Muslims about the jihad, he meant the continues struggle of a person, the inner and personal jihad, the kind of battle everyone of us have to fight against the bad habits, thoughts and manner we have. Also, it was a proper (you see, in Persia and, even before, in the Mesopotamian cultures, things where black [ Munkar – evil, bad] or white[ Maruf - justice, truth]) way to represent the average Muslims effort to achieve the Heaven (see the Sunit interpretations).

For the radicals interpretations of Muslims believers, the satyagraha of Mahathma to liberate India is, also, seen as a Jihad.

The nowadays interpretations of the Jihad like an „holly war” is the „merit” of the Christians armies who went into crusade against the Arabs.
As a fact, the Arabs have turned to the „hard” way of Jihad as a result of the Christians assault on them.
And so, the minor jihad was developed, the jihad intended to transform other „infidels” into Muslims, right believers of Allah ( La illaha illa ‘Llah – There is no other God beside God)


This is a kind of bad story, populated with human errors, full of violence and atrocities, between people who wanted to rule the world and to enforce to all the world the religions they have, who, at the beginning, could be a merciful and full of love believes.
So, that for, power, people tend to kill each other.


I’m not sure if the Indians have fully understand all this when the Arabs invasion took place, because back then they still have the light of the ancient philosophy of respect toward human, and humanity (take just the practice of Ahimsa, for example, so wonderfully developed in India to details that a European or Arab could not even imagine) or the natural tolerance of religions, that booth, Hinduism and Buddhism have.


Something like the today assault of the „Dio-ists” who could not be very well comprehended by many eIndians, nor the reasons of it.
