Yesterday I worked my 360th day and picked up another one of those award things as well as 5 gold for my efforts. I promptly donated that five gold to Canada's TaiwanPanda who has been doing a program to send free Thanksgiving turkeys (in the guise of Q3 food) to people who request one or who have supported him in the past. TP is a 4 time Congress Critter and has been an influential person in his short time playing the game (and I always love his avatars of gun wielding pandas). He is giving these turkeys away in honor of Canada's Thanksgiving (tomorrow).

Another cause that I wanted to announce my support of today is one that is being run by an old friend ASTERISM. It is called The World Alliance of Truth. This organization will strive to solicit donations and to use them to help other needy denizens of eRepublik. I asked her to write up something about it and she has done that and more. The remainder of this article will be ASTERISM's contribution.

The World Alliance of Truth shines as a beacon that will guide and support new citizens of all denominations through those painful first few levels. It is an international charitable organization that strives to create an environment of opportunity and hope for those in need. The World Alliance of Truth operates outside of individual nations and politics, providing many forms of help and support ranging from food parcels, gifts, housing and guidance on how to navigate the early days. The charity is funded by donations (money, gold, food, tickets, houses or gifts) and various types of membership.

There are opportunities for Nations to become official supporters or members of the Alliance, strongly indicating their desire to develop new players across the world and increase the number of citizens who stay in the game through those tough initial levels. The charity will provide direct help for member nations who want to establish support for the needy in their country, reducing the burden for local charities. Alternatively the World Alliance will work with already established local charities to enhance their work and increase the level of support provided.

Needy citizens can contact the World Alliance of Truth directly to seek support. The World Alliance will help citizens of any region, country, party or pact. It is not shackled by the boundaries of international borders.

The World Alliance of Truth needs connected, motivated citizens to get involved in fund raising to support causes all around the eWorld. There is plenty to do, so the charity also needs people who simply want to help coordinate and organize this massively complex operation and ensure aid or advice gets to those who need it most. Anyone who wants to help can simply PM the charity. They are always looking for help with fund raising, communications, distribution and players who can build the network of nations, organizations and established citizens who can make this honorable activity a real success.

One of the unique aspects of the charity is its absolute desire for openness and transparency on where the funding comes from and where it is being spent. There will be a regular update on how they are providing support and how they are getting funded.

The International Aid Program is now being prepared for launch. Its first venture will be the "Hungry eWorld" campaign, which will strive to provide food to some of the hundreds of eCitizens on the edge of starvation, trying to make their own way in the eWorld.

Please subscribe to their newspaper and help them achieve award status which will help in their funding. If you have time or resources to spare please also donate to them directly ....... do something good for all of those struggling players that are keen to become part of this wonderful eWorld we have created together.

I have already made a personal donation and joined their Board as an advisor, supporting their efforts to build international relations.

So there it is. I've made a small donation and so have many others. Assuming that it goes well I will make future donations as well.
