Join the new world

Evening All,

I started writing this yesterday but due to issues with erep it got lost half way through and I then gave up on it till today.

Well the dust has settled from the battle earlier this week and I'm pleased that with the massive help of our Allies we managed to fight off the Rogue MU whom were putting up INSANE CO's and installed Pirkus as Dictator.

I will just once again reiterate our MASSIVE thanks to our allies, I wont go over naming all of these as MoD covered this in his article:-

Personal thanks have to goto Janty F whom other than a period of I think a few hrs when he slept spent the entire Battle online in IRC organising allies, and supplying even at times from his own personal supplies! Even at times when we had NO CO's of our own up due to "issues" he kept plugging on.

Red Duck & John White, John_Locked also massive mentions for your work and efforts on the day and of course EVERY single one of you whom fought on the day against what were massive odds. At one point even I was concerned we wouldn't succeed.



The threat is far from over though, the Rogue MU is still here amongst us and I personally believe it wont belong before they try to overthrow things, so keep your tanks & EB's stocked.

One thing for definate is that we cannot allow the determination bonus to get upto 10x again so this will be looked at within my term.



Ah Organisation....

Sadly as I briefly touched on earlier this is one thing that saddened me a little and is something we need to improve on in future.

While the MTO was launched perfectly ontime through days of pre-planning with MU commanders & various people we still ran into what were issues caused by RL. 1 MU failed to join the coup on our side and as the commander was away (and me the 2nd commander jumped ship so I could fight for us) this left that MU to also fill with foreigners to hit against us! Our 2x MU's that had joined sadly the Commanders BOTH were working that day so this meant of course we didn't have any CO's up until early in the evening!

Thankfully Red Duck started up his own MU to help with the CO issue and also our allies helped out here to actually get people fighting for us.

Please note am not placing blame on anyone here, this is just something we need to look at in future is all so we dont run into these issues again.



Ok Costs, put it this way.... This MTO wasn't cheap. The initial cost is 200k as you all know to start and with the CO's and tanks required for us to win it, MoF have informed me we have spent ALOT of cash. Don't fear though as I'm told we still have plenty in reserve and all MPP's can be covered without issues etc.

Of course losing would have meant we wasted 200k + whatever the MTOers take from us, so you could argue this hasn't been a waste of resources.



So for the rest of my term the plan is simply to look at reforming the Dictator Constitution and keep my departments busy.

As you've seen MoD are still very busy with orders, even more so that we hold as a country the MoD role in Nebula which is a great honour for us! They will continue to keep us all active on a weekend aswell with the great training sessions we have, I encourage all to take part in these as collectively we can make great hitting power together.

MoF will continue to lick our wounds and rebuild finances.

MoFA have been busy releasing a Nebula article and I know they will be more from them yet.
