Freedom of press too free?

With every citizen having the ability to creat a newspaper and publish it freely the media is fluttered with a lot of information.
It is healthy for the Country? One can say that everyone is free to express themselves but what if the information is derrogatory or just plain absurd. Should there be a charge in Gold or cash for every article released so that people that relaly mean to write can write and those that publish horrid articles would have to think twice?
Perhaps this would encourage donations from readers and sucscribers to reward well written news? After all, if a person wants to speak their mind there is a global forum for discussion of all subjects.

Nice article Banach. I think this discussion should probably be spread in papers worldwide. I'm not sure, but I bet most countries are having this problem. Kudos to you!
The weaker papers will eventually die out due to apathy on the part of their publishers.

It isnt even about him, regadless of his best efforts to the contrary, he still puts some content in his "newspaper". "Pie is Good" beats him in this regard.
Skratty, I don't have a bone to pick with you and as hans puts it its more about those kinds of articles.
I'm not complaining about her writing an article about me, Antonio. I'm complaining about her writing an article about me and not naming me when she did it.

I was thinking the same thing when i started, and as the days went on it became even more apparent. Thats a great idea, there would have to be a way of keeping the cost high enough to force out useless news, while still keeping it affordable. I for one, could not afford to publish, but do agree all the same.
