eAustralian Population - Why we must keep fighting
Chris Carnage
I noticed a fairly high vote count in the September congressional elections, so thought I'd do a little digging.
Many use the vote count at elections (mainly congressional and presidential) as a more accurate reflection of a nation's population than the raw eRepublik stats. We know that a high population is important, as it increases our productive capacity and military capability and also enables greater social interactions. We also know that the eAustralian population declined significantly as a result of eIndonesia's repeated political take-over and military annihilation of our nation.
So I pulled together the vote counts in congressional and presidential elections over the past two years, and here is how it looks:

The most interesting number is the big kick in congressional election vote count for this month. It shows a massive increase from 266 votes in August to 480 votes in September, and with no evidence of a major PTO activity this could be good news for us.
Of course one swallow does not make summer, and a single vote count does not imply a population boom, but the numbers are positive and worth following up on in future elections.
If this IS a baby-boom, it highlights the importance that we MUST continue to defend our territories from invasion at all cost. We know what happens when the country is wiped...

I wonder what the numbers are if you discount Discrates multies.
Nice... voted!
But isn't the true vote count for the Senatorial elections only 240?

Yes it was only 240, we have fallen victim to the rep bugs again!

I have noticed a greater amount of newbies on the forums, posting articles and shouts etc. And some return of older Aussie players. I do think we have experienced some growth over the past couple of months. I'm just waiting for the admins to release v3 or v4 (whatever we are up to) and see the complete death of the game
OK, so my optimism was misplaced, nevertheless I will leave the article here as a monument to my disappointment🙁
Let's put it another way .. do a public whois on the site and see the true hit traffic.
