State of the Militia

Within the course of the last 7 weeks, Easy Company Militia has once again become one of the most significant fighting forces in the eUSA.

Our proud history as the Nation's longest-standing Militia, combined with our current run of success puts EZC in a position to state without equivocation that we are a model organization, worthy of emulation.

We have 120 members working in 40+ Q5/Q6 communes.
We have our own offsite Forum Boards.
We have an active IRC community.
We are consistently among the top 5 MU's in eRepublik's daily rankings.
We are open to anyone loyal to the eUSA.
We have an excellent mixture of experienced fighters and new Citizens.
And we have Cookies.

Logistics

The introduction of the Q6 variable certainly threw a wrench into what had just become a well-oiled system. Between our foreign and domestic Communes, we upgraded 7 of our 10 Weapons facilities to Q6 from Q5. We skipped the Food upgrade altogether.

What the change meant primarily was an increased cost of Raw Materials.

Already Easy Company had been operating at a minor daily deficit which was offset by benevolent giving from certain members. The daily deficit grew but the increase has been absorbed and we continue to operate at a very high level. In addition to my financial support of EZC, I would like to recognize the following people for their ongoing support of our Militia:

WintersFury1

Devin Kesten
Greene12
Soren Nelson
XxBusinessMogulexX

and several other one-time donors.

Thank you all.

Our current supply policy

Non-Communed members receive no routine supply support. (They are, however, often given supplies randomly by those who see their shouts in the Militia Feed.)

TANKS:
All Commune-working members who do not wear the EZC uniform receive 7 Q5 tanks once daily upon request.

All Commune-working members who wear the EZC uniform receive 6 Q6 tanks once daily upon request.

Tank supply is occasionally increased up to as many as 15 tanks depending on current inventory or special gifts from benevolent parties.

FOO😨
All Commune-working members who have a Q1 or Q2 Town Center receive 30 Q5 Food twice daily upon request.

All Commune-working members who have a Q3 or Q4 Town Center receive 45 Q5 Food twice daily upon request.

All Commune-working members who have a Q5 Town Center receive 55 Q5 Food twice daily upon request.

In other words, members request twice daily, and receive tanks and food the first time and just food the second time.

Our request protocol does not require IRC, it is done via Google Doc.

Our current membership policy:
...in general...

Although Easy Company is a Federalist Militia, membership in the Federalist Party is not necessary for membership in EZC. Party membership is ONLY required for the CO. Members from every party are treated as equals in EZC.

All stipulations put on EZC by the Office of Militia Support are passed on to EZC members. In other words, you must work in your commune job 5+ days/week and you may not fight for enemies of the eUS unless it is an exceptional circumstance.

Special Operations

Once every few weeks an opportunity arises to support one of our Allies in an important battle that is not currently being supported by the Department of Defense. If it clears the National Security Council, and falls within the OMS guidelines which also limits the frequency of these special operations, Easy Company will set orders accordingly to assist an Ally in battle. Often the Ally will also send support (Tanks, Food, or cash) to Easy Company in order to supply the soldiers during that battle.

Such occasional operations help defray the daily operations deficit.

Personnel

Easy Company is successful because our people are dedicated and qualified.

XO Molly Emma has an eagle's eye for detail and has established a reputation as someone willing to make the right decision in my absence. She is also keen on follow-through and she makes a lot happen for Easy Company.

CII Venom handles most of our formal recruiting. He does this while maintaining respect for other Militias and Military Units. If he contacts someone who already belongs to an MU, he treads lightly with his invitation by exchanging information about Easy Company and not aggressively poaching members away. He keeps very tight records in our gDocs and is an incredible asset to EZC.

Devin Kesten leads a team of QuarterMasters who fill requests for supplies all day every day. In the most extreme cases, I have seen someone having to wait 6 hours before their supply drop. In most cases our system operates far more quickly than that. Each of our QM's are entrusted with a large inventory of supplies which they use to fill requests without needing to contact me.

.....
The rest of our QM team is Mr. Booboo Kittybottoms, Neron Trocki, bigbirdy6, Leos111, and Sozo. They are all awesome.

WintersFury1 is our foreign commune company owner. He runs 5 of our 10 Tank communes, 4 of our 8 Food Communes, and 10 of our 20 Q5 Raw Materials Communes. He faithfully transfers our daily commune production to me on a daily basis. I have never heard a single report of a person not able to work because of lack of raw materials or cash on hand. He is a key reason Easy Company is a great as it is.

I want to personally thank each of these Officers for their tireless efforts. Our awesomeness is a reflection of their excellence.

Rankings

The only ranking system that eRepublik recognizes is the statistical record of daily kills. This is actually a very good indication of the level of activity within the membership of the Military Unit, but it is also reflective of the quality of supplies. A better-supplied unit is likely to achieve more daily kills than one scrambling for food and guns.

Easy Company broke into the top 5 eUS Military Units about 40 days ago for the first time in ages. We have maintained a top 5 position only dipping below a day here or a day there. We have reached as high as 2nd on two occasions.

We are not as powerful as ST6 in terms of the amount of damage we do. But behind ST6 we are sure that Easy Company is the most important Militia in the entire eUSA, and we will fight proudly to retain that distinction.

Looking Ahead

We have been discussing a variety of specialized features for Easy Company.

Among possible future innovations are these:

A lower-food/higher-tanks squad designation for players who have no problem supplying their own food.

A mercenary regiment whose supply ration is greatly reduced but whose daily orders are geared toward Mercenary Medal pursuit.

Increased responsibilities for ingame Captains.

Non-Military operations (PTO espionage against enemies of the eUSA for instance).

More information on these will be released if they mature into reality.

Final Words

I accepted the offer to Command Easy Company from former Federalist Party President Civil Anarchy because there was a general consensus among Party leaders that EZC had become a bit sleepy. My commitment to the Party and the Militia was to do all I could to reorganize EZC and hopefully lead it to national prominence once again. I am satisfied that I have delivered on my promises.

I remain committed to leading EZC for the foreseeable future. I believe the time is coming when EZC will distinguish itself in some way(s) that will be invaluable to our Nation, and I want to direct us in that course.

To that end, I invite all readers of this (especially if you made it this far!) to consider your current Militia or Military life, and ask yourself if Easy Company might just be worth giving a try. With greater strength we will do even greater deeds, and by those deeds we will help forge the future greatness of the eUSA.

So consider joining EZC today.
