Join the new world

This is a submission to the LAP writing contest offered by Aramec. And I swear if less than 10 people sign up, throats will be slit.

I'm going to focus on what I want party leadership to do in this article.

1. Create a party MU: These are powerful player retention tools for new players. They create stronger ties to the party and the people in it that make it harder to leave. The feds have SHILED, USWP has the ZDF, AMP is kind of a military unit more than a party, and we shall have the Liberty Battalion. This MU will help our party thrive and give it more legitimacy.

2. Create departments: These will make our party more appealing, help our members more, and help us help the nation more to gain credibility. Some ideas are education, forum work, and politics. Education fills in newbs on what the party and erep is like, forum workers add new forum pages at the discretion of the PP and maintain order and a good forum hangout, and politics will help players who have political aspirations within or beyond the party.

3. Make it clear that we are not an ATO only party: We were created to have a viable fifth party, but it will not be one where people just come to sit on the 25th. We need to make it clear that we are a party independent of the other T4 and we have the means to support ourselves. We are not a pet project, we are a real party! This will allow for a more consistent community and a feeling of stability for new party members.

4. Get a platform based on a consensus of our congress members: This is something that many parties lack, and I think that needs to change. We poll our probable congressmen(sorry for the gender pronoun, but it's really not a big deal) to find what their stance on issues such as taxes, war, the USAF, departments, etc. are. We then write up a general platform that our congressmen collectively run on. This gives more accountability for our political contributions.

5. Gain a solid legendary player base to tout: This gives us more credibility and attracts new players who see just how far you can get in this party. Also is an incentive for current members to do things right in hopes of getting on the list. It sets us apart and makes this party go down in history(don't know if I should say herstory in respect of my pronoun lapse) as one of the best.

I have trust that our leader ship(heard it has a jacuzzi, waterslide, AND scuba competitions, I want to board that ship so bad!) will do at least some of these things if not all in order to cement us as a party for the ages.

One of the Categories just added was party mascot, and I am throwing my hat in the ring for my original avatar, the crockoduck.

It is a fictional creature who I think best represents the spirit of the LAP.(Not to mention being frikkin hilarious)

It is a melding of multiple, already existent entities. It is lighthearted, satirical, but can be used in some very useful ways. I hereby petition for our official mascot to be this crockoduck.
