Day 1,733 | Something or Other | Here we go Again

Day 1,733, 17:40 Published in Canada Canada by Corrigan Brown

Well there we go ladies and gentlemen, a congressman has finally found the balls to actually do something and has proposed a law to make the UK our Natural enemy. I can’t say that I fully support the decision but I can say that it’s nice to see something happening, even though it’s happened many, many times. Seriously this is something like the 5th time we’ve declared war against the UK, when I first joined eRepublik we had fully occupied the country. I guess the famous line is,

Here we go again.

The attack has begun on the South West of England, and with England distracted on the Irish front, I’d say that this war actually has some kind of a chance. To our troops I say fight well, preserve your gear as this might end up coming back to the home front. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that.

Yesterday, much to the CP’s displeasure, Congressman Venoms III proposed the bill that commenced our war with the Brits. The law was accepted by a landslide, most siding with the Lemon Party Congressman, Venoms III. His reasons are as follows:

Options
Airstrike (very unlikely no region bonus so why bother)
Attack Ireland (Face another Can-Am War)
Attack America (see above)
Attack Poland (get wiped unless someone fronts some cash)
Attack Spain (Angry yanks fight for Spain = wipe)
Attack Portugal (lose MPP stack = broke)
Attack the UK (Gain resources nothing to lose except a war proposal)

By far the last option is the best.

Later on when President Jacobi issued an article stating that he doesn’t want Canada’s image to be that of a “spastic 8 year old” and that a training war was being negotiated. Later on he stresses the need for executive control over foreign policy.

A quote from Jacobi’s newspaper: the Merchantman

My opinion, may be completely irrelevant though it may be related as well:

When Poland began their long campaign for European domination, they were probably regarded as a loose canon and a spastic 8 year old as well, however now they have conquered a good half of western Europe, maybe even more. My point is it takes more than a push to get things going in this game, it takes a shove. From here we can do two things: Stumble and fall down the stairs of failure and end up back where we started, or make the most of it and regain our footing.

The choice is up to the citizens.

See you in 3 days
