Congressional Christmas

Day 762, 13:45 Published in Japan United Kingdom by AltmerVampire

Another month in the life of eRepublik.

So many things can change and shift like the sands of a desert, and yet so many things can stay the same at the exact same time. We have seen a troubling month in the life of eJapan, we beat back the American invaders, only to let them in willingly soon after in order to free the regions of our Chinese allies. Japan is going through an interesting time, in terms of foreign affairs and internal fighting. No one truly knows to where the future will lead us; invasion, PTO or security and prosperity. Japan needs every citizen who can help, to volunteer to do whatever is required of them, and this is why, I will be running for Congress once again in Hokkaido.

So who am I?

I’m AV, several times congressman, several times Party President, several times Minister of Foreign Affairs, and now Japan’s Director of Ambassadorial Affairs. I am a member of the SOS Brigade, a party that stands for fun, excitement and making the game an enjoyable place for everyone who plays it. For more information, read here; our declaration of activity. I strongly encourage everyone to read this, and consider our goals and beliefs.

Hokkaido and Japan at large

Here in Hokkaido, we face potential invasion from the Russians at any stage (well… until they actually manage to impeach their president that is). Hokkaido is on the very line of the tension zone that has formed from foreign affairs policies that the Dokomo Administration has brought to Japan, and the residents of our great region may well be at risk from an invasion force, however unlikely it may be, it is far from impossible. This is why I stand firmly up, for the people of Hokkaido, and of Japan, and support the friendships Japan has made in the past with countries such as Hungary, Serbia and Russia, rather than our supposed current allies in Poland, Greece and Spain.

If there are any concerns the citizens of Hokkaido may have, I extend an opening arm to you, to hear them out. I am here to represent you. Regardless of the consequences to my own positions or status.

But what do I believe in?

For one, I am a centrist in eRep. eRep has no place for the two ways of life. To succeed, we must take ideas from both sides (which are startlingly similar in the game) and utilize them as a team. Basically, we need to take all ideas and viewpoints, and become a solid democracy to decide what to do in circumstances, and then work as a single unit in Japan to achieve our goals. Everyone working together, and we can reach the stars. How delightfully cheesy, no?

I believe strongly that Japan should be neutral. However, we should not forget all the things our long term allies in PEACE/Phoenix have done for us. Neutrality means not choosing a side, not letting one side through to attack the other side. Likewise, neutrality and being friends with Phoenix does not mean we can not have friendly relations with EDEN nations, especially the USA (admittedly I’d prefer they didn’t invade us, but hey, I’m crazy like that).

So there we go, all I can really think to mention at the current time, so if you have any more questions, please PM me and I’ll do my best to answer. So thank you for reading this, and if you it interests you, consider voting AltmerVampire, SOS Brigade on Christmas Day.

AV,
The guy who is fighting for your Japan
