CFN SPECIAL ISSUE: Romanian field trip ends! / Writing contest entry

Day 2,911, 06:16 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by nutty fox

eRep day 2,908 Dijon, France

This was a huge mistake! I don’t speak French and the locals are bloody hostile. Can you like get any dark bread over here?

I was planning a short stop in eBelgium to meet the newly elected President. Timing was wrong due to the fact that more important cabinet meetings were already scheduled.

Gave my pilot the next location “lets fly to the land of rising sun, Japan”.

This was the official flight plan but we didn’t mention the air control that we are doing a un scheduled stop in a secret location where MEK (Mobile Elite Korp) has training grounds and weapon storage.

My new friend Pisco Soares was there to meet me and gave me a quick tour around the camp. These guys looked like they know their business and gave me suspicious glances.

Since I have made friends with few others from the unit and they happened to be there, the mood changed more relaxed. Obviously I understand that all new faces need to be treated with certain suspicion.

They did give me a change to do some training but the presence of all these battle hardened soldiers made me politely refuse to this offer. I would not look good with my low strength level on that training course.

I thanked for the visit and while the plane was getting off the ground, my eyes closed and fell asleep.

eRep day 2,909 Kinki, Japan

Rested and full of energy I notice that we have arrived.

Konnichiwa Japan!

Gear up and next thing is to find some kind of transport. If possible something that wont get too much attention.

Oh wow this is perfect, says CUSTOM even 😃 . Since I am not here to do any major damage, have with me small arms and extra ammo that will do perfectly for collecting few missing countries on my 25 fights list.

Oh right and I totally need to see these local talents live on stage, singing “Road of Resistance” – BABYMETAL . I think its perfect battle music while being over here. (Japan even had an active resistance war going on 😃)

After the show stumbled across some Aussies and they clearly were soldiers. This sure was a lucky coincidence since needed some help to get coordinates to a battle on Aussie soil. Told them that in exchange on giving me this information they get airlifted with my plane.
No idea what military unit they belonged since no uniforms on. I know also better not to ask stupid questions!

We flew on low altitude since technically I never left Japan. This was a total Black Ops mission with these crazy Aussies.

I have upgraded my transportation to AC-130j Ghostrider. What a brilliant plane this is. Have plenty of space for weapons and food. Comes even with state of the art intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance equipments. This stuff helps me do these secret flights so much easier.

After the 25 fights, met up with the Aussies to say goodbye. Now it was time to get my fox tail back to Japan before getting noticed.

Sadly this time around I could not enjoy any Aussie treats and sightseeing (read the absolutely amazing Sheilas!), since I know for a fact that Aussie immigration office wouldn’t be impressed that over here with out any official paperwork.

While flying back to Japan, had to plan my options on route back home to eNL. This way I wont loose valuable time.

After a needed nights sleep, I wake up in early morning darkness and rainfall. Can feel the jet lag creeping in me but have to drag my self to the field and do my missing fights.

So much I did not have time to do and see, but then again this was not a tourist visit.

Sayonara Japan!

eRep day 2,910 Southern Thailand, Thailand

A roon sa was Thailand!

Making a technical stop in Thailand to see if I find some fresh fruits to get my energy up. Also a safe spot to land, since no one will ask too many questions if you hand out enough cash.

Fact is that there are so many small islands around here so a perfect spot to make few “war stashes”, since never know when back in these parts of eWorld.

I can almost see and get a hold of the Mercenary statue, only 3 countries left and I get it in my trophy room.

Might as well do 25 fights on ground if possible. By using energy bars I could exit quicker, but as mentioned in my last report those should be saved to more important use. Halloween did a dent in my stock so just having a cup of coffee and breakfast from the Thai food market.

Your senses get an overflow of the colors, tastes and new sounds all over you. This place sure can distract you from your mission.

Suddenly I had a problem. I once again failed to scout the amount of active battles and point situation in them.

Why not take an opportunity to go back to my “war stash” location and have a rest on the beach. Double checking that the stash is well hidden and isn’t visible from air or passing boats. Before I leave I need to remember to clear all signs and traces of my short visit on this location.
Took cover behind two larger rocks and just rested in the sun. My flight crew will alert me when an active fights starts.

In the afternoon finally there is an opportunity to fight and collect country 48/50. If I sort this out fast I can do a “red eye” flight to next destination. This time around my plane leaves without me and disappears from the radar screen few hours after lift off.

Ra tee sa was Thailand!

eRep day 2,911 Sofia, Bulgaria

After a horrific flight in tourist class with a mixed bunch of travellers, arrived in Sofia, Bulgaria.

I need to change my battle plan and that means energy bars and Q7 weapons. This will hopefully get me my 2 missing countries sorted out.

Total fatigue is showing and need a hot shower and a shave after this is finally done.

Congratulations: You have got your first Mercenary medal, roger out.
