Battle of Alberta

Day 615, 09:35 Published in Canada Canada by Rylde

Last Night the Onslaught of PEACE and the country now a puppet formally known as France was upon us. Alberta my RL and E game province has fallen in a battle that should of been glorious but in the end was not. The last reports we heard In Edmonton from Calgary before communications were lost was that the french armor was rolling in and Strategic airstrikes were decimating the city.

Outmanned and outgunned what was left of Princess Patricia's light infantry held fast and waited for what would be there final battle. The sheer will and bloodlust of the invaders was something we were unprepared for. The firepower they they had been armed with gave are troops little to no chance. Street to street we fought them to a man. In vain we fought them tooth and nail. In the Chaos that was the battle when a soldier ran out of bullets i saw many a soldier fight with nothing but his rifle in hand to hand combat. The reserves that had little to no leadership fought using hit and run tactics trying to buy time waiting for backup. The last radio transmission we heard from Calgary was that they were going to try a last ditch effort to push back the attackers and unfortunatly was the last we heard from them.

We contacted the capital and the order was given that there would be no help coming. Those that believed in Alberta and more importantly in Canada fought and died this day. I caught the last chopper out of the warzone to regroup with the rest of the CAF in Ontario. But I can personally say I question the order to abandon Alberta. But I'm a soldier I'll follow orders and tonite will live in infamy.
