Alliances and CP Intentions

I think the the biggest campaign issue for CP's this election will be the lack of a suitable Allinace. This has been debated to death in congress and as of now no serious headway has been made and were still Neutral-Pro-Eden. Not a horrible position except for the fact were never anyone's priority.

From what I've heard congress may or may not have voted to make us join CoT. At this point I'm leaning towards believing the former as over the holidays I've watched our MPP's with Sweden and Germany disappear without replacement. Could be were setting up for a big jump.

Personally I'm no fan of CoT because there aligned with TWO another anti-EDEN alliance and it means turning on traditional friends and allies. I do believe being slow on deciding an alliance has given us one benefit. We can look how its affected other nations after there decisions.

Mainly I'm talking USA who split from its old alliance and went a new untraditional route. From what I hear things are not all peaches and cream down there since the summer. Many are mad and disgusted with there MPP stack and notable citizens have moved on to pro-eden countries. They have become quite split and divided.
I know most nations have there rivalries and splits are common but not usually in wartime as thats the one tie that binds us. Were walking a fine line of possible division and disaster. Come on guys isn't politics enough. I suggest giving this a read.

I could easily see this becoming us after such a drastic alliance switch. Personally I don't want to be shooting Portugese, Germans and my comrades in Russia.

As I read that article I noticed a comment from the Irish CP and was surprised it said you should consider joining Asgarde. What???
I said to myself.
Asgarde?
Last I heard Ireland was considering CoT because of Bulgaria since they left EDEN. Low and behold I read this article by the Irish CP.Very informative about the current climate of alliances

I was surprised because this guy mirrored my exact thoughts on the alliance issue I had a month ago. Its like something I would almost copy paste because I could never match the article or say it better myself.

Everyone knows I'm a fan of Sweden and Asgarde but this guy says it best. A close knit alliance a family. I'd like going into war with allied brother nations always knowing no matter what the odds were a few out there will have my back as a priority and us the same for them.

I want a tight relationship with an alliance where all members are heard and respected. Something to take pride and be proud of.something worth fighting for and breathing some life into a game thats fading.

CP Intention


I intend to run for CP and the first order of business will be to take on the alliance issue. I plan on doing it respectfully and honorably. The country knows where I stand but it shouldn't be up to one man as CP or even 40 as congressmen. This issue has to be decided as a country tto see how we start the new year.

I come seeking office this time not as a warmonger but as a man willing to put in the time to be a builder.

I will hold a Canadian referendum as I've saw done in Ireland to make our decision. The actives of the nation will choose the future of this nations alliance.

I have nothing bad to say about the last few administrations because I think many see them for what they have been so there's no need to. I for one and I'm sure I'm not alone am just not happy with the dwindling MPP stack and leadership of the country as of late. I'm active know the job and keep people informed with no BS.

I believe I can lead us through this process. Someone with balls not scared to force the issue or make a decision is needed. We've waited long enough as it is.

So the choice is yours Canada.
