All Good Things Come To An End

Day 726, 05:22 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by AltmerVampire

One of the most recognized sayings in the modern age. A timeless classic, telling us how no matter what happens, everything has a closing point, everything will disappear into the dust some day, some time. No matter how hard we try to save things they will crumble into the dust of the earth.

PEACE is having a difficult time at the moment. Italy has left its comforting arms, followed soon after by Indonesia. Two of the parent nations of the longest lived alliance that will ever be found in the New World; People of Earth Associated under Common Excellence.

No one can deny that PEACE Global Community has achieved some amazing feats in its time. I won’t list them all, but the one that springs into the mind most would be the almost take over of the United States of America, although, of course the USA and her allies fought back with incredible skill and managed to reclaim their territories. And when they did so PEACE congratulated them.

For that is the nature of the PEACE I know. It is a brotherhood of friends. In my time within the hallowed halls of PEACE I saw many acts of friendship, many acts of loyalty and camaraderie between its members. Whether they were Hungarian, British, Latvian or Bulgarian; everyone had a voice, people were friends.

Obviously, as is the nature of something so large, PEACE had its disagreements. Lyne Faynel the CP of France was treated appallingly be some people in the alliance who did not have the right idea of the alliance. They believed the propaganda spread about the alliance, how supposedly Hungary/Indonesia etc are the big dogs of the alliance, and they acted on this false information and treated other members with contempt. This is not the case, PEACE is, and in my opinion, should always remain an alliance where every nation counts, to every person.

But anyway, PEACE has faced many difficulties in its past, with countless people across the world (including the Admins) predicting the future death of PEACE GC. Well lets look back at my opening statement:

All good things come to an end

PEACE means a lot to me. I’ve worked for the alliance for a short time and I have come to love what it stands for. Countless people feel the same and have worked impossibly hard to bring the alliance back to its glory days.

However, PEACE GC is only a name. What makes the alliance what it is are the concepts of brotherhood, equality, strength, and friendship.

PEACE is so much more than simply a charter with a list of countries and some guidelines on it. PEACE is so much more than a forum and an IRC. PEACE is a Global Community. One which I am immensely proud to be part of.

I can’t honestly say PEACE GC is dying or not, because I don’t know. But I do know eventually, whether its today, tomorrow or a year from now, PEACE GC will no longer be a major player on the world stage. But, what I’m basically saying is:

Will PEACE die eventually? Yes.
Will PEACE’s Global Community die? No.

No matter what happens in the world, the friendships forged in PEACE shall never die. Not a single country in PEACE shall ever be without a friend, no one shall ever be alone.

You’re never gonna be alone
From this moment on
If you ever feel like letting go
I won’t let you fall
You’re never gonna be alone
I’ll hold you until the hurt is gone
