A word from the royal family

Day 3,250, 08:51 Published in Netherlands Slovakia by Willem The Conqueror

Dear citizens,

I, crown prince Willem, am addressing you now on this cold Dutch autumn evening from the palace of Noordeinde in our political capital of The Hague. I speak on behalf of the entire Dutch royal family, my father HRH King Kordak I and my brother HRH Prince Legendardisch.

Three days ago, the 16th edition of the newspaper 'House of Henri' featured an outrageous article. The author, the commoner Henri XI, made an illegitimate personal claim to the throne of the Netherlands and thereby attacking our royal family.

Citizens, let me be clear. Our royal family does not, nor does the Dutch nobility, accept the fact that this person has laid his hands on the Dutch throne. We will never recognise this outrageous claim. We ask the entire kingdom, nobility and people, to reject and condemn this commoner and to maintain the status quo on the royal stage.

However, the article does point out that my father, HRH King Kordak I, has been absent for quite a while from social life. I regret to inform you that he has fallen ill in the recent months resulting him to be absent from the public sphere. [If he doesn't give a sign of activity, I'll become king] Of course, I'll directly inform you when something changes to my father's health condition and illness. I hope you will join me in wishing my father well.

Long live the Netherlands!

With my dearest regards,
On behalf of the entire Dutch royal family and Dutch nobility,

Crown Prince of the Netherlands
