A talk with: CPresident Xibbard – His role and his views!

Northern Light (NL)`s aim is: “to create interesting and readable articles, analyses and comments about what`s happening in eNorway and ask critical questions to make debates”.

Therefore I wish to start a new column, “A talk with:”, and I found it natural to start with our CPresident of eNorway, Mr. Xibbard. He is representing the party “Teknokratene”, and he is now in his second term of CPresident of eNorway.

Northern Light: Mr CPresident! Tell us little about yourself and your eRepublikan life and history!

CPresident Xibbar😛 “I am a 20 Year old (just turned 20 a month ago) Dutch guy that loves gaming, helping people, and Lego! I started on the evening of 22-Oct-2012, I was immediately contacted by a well known player, Weekstrom, who helped me a bit with supplies and told me nearly everything. I originally started in eNetherland. I was a well-known player, I helped small-level players out with food every day for free. I`ve been in eNorway for almoust a year now”


Northern Light: As a beginner in eRepublik, I`m curious about what kind of role does the “Contry President” exactly play in this game?

CPresident Xibbar😛 “The CP nowadays is nothing. Thanks to the Dictator update (Yes i am looking at you Plato!). Back in the days it was the Highest position in any country, you rule the Goverment. And help people with questions, co-ordinate with allies.”


Northern Light: How do you cooperate with your Government? Can you describe the process of making decisions? Is it daily meetings, discussions or informal contacts, and what authorizations does your ministers have?

CPresident Xibbar😛 “I rule the Goverment in a way. Officialy the Dictator has all the power. but he let's me run things behind the scenes. Everyone has a department, and knows that department, if they need help they come to me.”


Northern Light: In your opinion, what is the possibilities and limits of the Presidency? I can see we do have a dictatorship. As you said that situation affects your work?

CPresident Xibbar😛 “Well it DOES affect everything. all power now lies with the Dictator. I can't propose new law's (neither can congressmen), no new players can be accepted by Congress. A president is in that case powerless.”


Northern Light: What do you see, as CPresident, is the biggest challenges for eNorway today?

CPresident Xibbar😛 “Well. I am going to be very honest. Norway is a very small community. Our biggest issue is the possibilities of someone attacking us. (like Mexico 2 weeks ago) Norway is a small and cozy community, and some people want to take advantage of that. That is our biggest issue.”


Northern Light: How to deal with these challenges?

CPresident Xibbar😛 “Our allies at Nebula HQ were quick to respond to the Mexican AS. The attack started in the Night (local time). Our Australian & Japanese allies were online. and fought until they had no energy left. when we all came online, we took over. If we continue with Nebula we can help others if a same situation happens to them, but also ourselves. I am personally involved with Nebula, so i know what is happening at the moment.”


Northern Light: We can see some complain the lack of activity in eNorway. How do deal with that, do we need an more active opposition to get more engagement in upcoming elections for instance?

CPresident Xibbar😛 “Well yes. there is a lack of activity. Joshua Morriseau wants to counter that with contests. however it is hard doing that here.”


Northern Light: And the last question: What possibilities do a small nation as eNorway have in this raging big world? What is your visions for the nation?

CPresident Xibbar😛 “Well. alone we are small and weak. But united in an alliance (like Nebula) we can get so much more done! There will always be people that prey on the weak. and by grouping-up we will counter that.”
