A Rare Written Rant: Farewell, My Friends!

Day 600, 07:34 Published in USA USA by American Border Collie

Hello, and happy Sunday to everyone. Yes, this is a rare written article from me, as I currently don't have a traditional broadband internet connection to upload a podcast.

And so, for my rant. First, let me say that I have decided to leave the eUSA. I tried to hold out hope that the country would turn itself around, but unfortunately, I got involved too late. I'm going to run down the list of reasons why I have shaped my decision.

1. PANEC Taxes

Now then, the first reason I left two-clickdom was to see why the heck income taxes were doubled to nearly 20%. I soon found out that someone had raided the national treasury and that the taxes were temporary until the treasury was replenished. Ok, no problem. However, time wore on and the taxes never went down as promised. I couldn't find ANYTHING on PANEC anywhere. And, it doesn't help that the E-Republik developers didn't include a search function for articles or their forum. And, everything regarding PANEC on the eUSA forum was labeled as "secret." I can't argue if I don't have facts. That leads me to the second point...

2. Transparency

or lack thereof. Funny, I can't find anything except ambiguous press releases from the government. Hell, nobody knew about the FORTIS alliance until an international paper provided details. And, that was even secondhand information. How the heck am I supposed to know about what provisions are included? I couldn't. For too long, I have felt like the government has kept a hood over our heads to keep us from seeing the truth. What about the large revenues from the Taxes that the government has been collecting. I see gigantic donations to Fort Knox Federal Reserve and the Congressional Budget Office. Where is it going after that? Why can't any audits be done and the results released to the public to show where this is going. And, the third point...

3. Militarization

I see more and more talk about military action. I have been told that most of the budget goes to the military. However, when I joined the military, I was not given ANYTHING with which to fight. Where is the 20% of the income that I have earned? And, you're telling me to move away to another country to fight? I want to hold a job and earn revenue while fighting. If you're not going to give me anything and make me buy my own weapons from the 20% income I have left after purchasing food, doesn't that defeat the purpose of taxes? War games are ok, but I questiont the folks earning battle hero status with thousands upon thousands of points of damage. Q5 weapons are not cheap at all and neither are wellness packs. Heck, I have not bought any gold since PANEC went into effect, primarily because I lacked a net income. Would I have bought weapons and wellness packs for it? You bet! But, the current powers that be keep those not in their favor down. I think I hear the fourth point coming...

4. One Party Rule

There are many parties in the euSA, but one party has been dominating the U.S. Government for a while. They currently own 50% of congress and the presidency. They also dominate the forum with censoring of outspoken critics (the Emerick ban and the ridiculous court proceedings that followed?). I hear a lot of opposition to them, but yet nobody has been able to defeat them. Granted, parties have their own stars. But, when the presidential election comes up, those stars and individual parties are too busy arguing with each other to pay attention to the gigantic party ruling the country. The arguing only guarantees their win. For instance, in the last election, there were about 6 candidates who had no business being in the election. Perhaps maybe these parties should put aside their differences and cooperate to displace the ruling party. One of the major defieiencies of one-party rule is that there are no checks and balances by opposing parties to keep the nation on track. I feel that the 6-month unchecked USWP majority is the major contributing factor to the current world situation. What situation?

5. War Taxes

Oh yes, the war-mongers are happy that they are going to war, and are even happier that their war taxes were passed. I bet there will be many that don't have the funding to fight since the government is now taking 30% of everyone's income. I don't understand why the powers feel that military action is the answer to everything. I have not seen any dialogues with any other nations, even though Harrison Richardson specifically says they have (see Point #2)

The USWP has set up the United States and FORTIS for failure. How? They have bolstered the military at the cost of the economy, and are throwing FORTIS into war only a week after its creation. It is going to be one big clusterflick, and I refuse to be in the "bend-over" line. Therefore, effective this morning, I am leaving the eUSA. If the eUSA still remains after this, I might return. It depends on the circumstances.

And so, farewell, eUSA! It was fun while it lasted!
