A note on the central bank.
H. S. Dovewatch
Austria,
I have recently noted the removal of rather a lot of gold from the Austrian central bank, and two very out of the ordinary shouts.
My instant reaction was: The ACB has been hacked.
However, I quickly convinced myself was not the case - as only a sum of gold was removed and not all of it.
An argument against this would be that a hacker would only remove some to try and cover up the hack, but my argument against that is that the hacker would then not draw attention to themselves by shouting.
I would suggest, therefore, that the money had not been removed without legitimacy, but not published in an article. This is of course bad, and a criticism of the current government's policy, but nothing of real importance.
I would like, though, to call upon the government to address the unorthodox and unprofessional conduct of the ACB in it's 'shouting' and the fact that the expenditure/exchange of the 250 gold (or around that) was not revealed in a publication to the general public as and when or before it happened.
Comments
No gold has left the central bank. It is sitting in the monetary market.
Yes, there was an offer of 200 GOLD for 51 ATS each Gold.
I've opened a topic about it in our forums:
