CODE on Le Ropes: French Edition
by Paul Proteus and Herr Vootsman, a person who actually knows what he is talking about

It's time for the War Report.

These past few months CODE has been on the retreat as the eUSA and her allies have found remarkable success. While individual CODE member nations remain strong, the alliance has been in shambles, suffering from leadership and morale losses across the board. Over the past year, Turkey, Albania, Thailand, Mexico, Chile and Bolivia have all left the alliance.

Having already liberated South America, Russia, Greece, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia, we are fighting CODE in their last base: France.

Expert cartographers depicting Americans once again invading Normandy.

Currently, the eUS and her allies, Romania, Serbia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Portugal, Latvia, and Sweden, are visiting our French peers and wondering if maybe they should instead learn how not-to-code. (laugh here)

Keep an eye out for further military success, and keep eating those freedom fries.

Announcing the Whitehouse Food Pogram (Free Stuff!)
by Secretary of Media and weakest player in the game, Paul Proteus

Ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you! Wait, that's not right....

Anyway, the WHPR is excited to announce The Whitehouse Food Program. Secretary of Interior Leroy Combs will be providing 1,000 Q7 food each week to American Citizens.

To take advantage of this program, keep an eye out for posts by Secretary Combs in the national feed. Additionally, to help publicize the program, Party Presidents will be provided with a link to the program to post in their respective party feeds.

If you have any questions, message Leroy, or send Stormin a thousand irate private messages, as he longs for the warmth of another human voice. Where was I? Oh yes, free food!

ABS Legislation, Actually Happening?
by beat reporter and human punching bag, Paul Proteus

Since our last issue many moons ago (nb. 3 days ago. Wow, so many WHPRS!), Congress has been shockingly actually debating moving forward with ABS reform.

The bill as written would outline accountability measures for ABS, as well as fund softcore porn featuring Plato

Following a proposal from Stormin and the executive, Congress has been debating codifying transparency protocols so that the ABS program can continue to benefit the country while satisfying Congressional requirements for accountability.

The proposal as written outlines how the CP and MoD can activate the program, eligibility requirements, how distribution will be handled, what amount and type of weapons can be purchased, as well as what reporting requirements are needed in a spreadsheet to provide adequate transparency.

You can find the public discussion here:
A Bill to Codify the Aerial Bombing Program.

This administration believes it is imperative to balance national security with the buy-in of the entire community, so please give the debate a gander and make sure to have your representatives weigh in!

The First Week
by President, and active Ewok cosplayer, Stormin Ewokjedi

What a wild morning of figuring it all out. The most ridiculous part of the day was our beyond-dedicated defense team thought I would wake up at 3 am to click buttons. That was hilarious. Checking Discord/telegram to “STORMIN WAKE UP” first thing in the morning was a great reminder that I’m chained to this game for the term. Let’s say the transition plan between admins for CP is well…limited. My cabinet which is comprised of grizzled veterans just moves about their daily dedication to this game and all of you without many realizing what a task it is. I sure got a taste of it today, dozens of telegram rooms, people I’ve never talked to messaging me with congratulations, instructions, asteria battle orders, etc. I knew the Defense Team did a lot, but they do a ton.

WHPR photograph of said grizzled veterans

We’ve got it figured out now and I’ll do most of the Training War button mashing around 7:30 am EST on weekdays so if you are looking to get some battle medals lots of fresh battles should be around then. The interface for being CP is not something I’ve ever seen so getting used to seeing all the battles listed and then learning which ones to start and how to do it took a minute but fear not, I’ve got it down now. Thanks to all who helped start the few Resistance Wars we needed for reasons I’m still learning but they do make sense!

Let's check in with how our team has been doing during the first week:
Defense Team: Doing their job and things are progressing well as they have been for a long time now.
Media Team: WHPR is back and keeping you all informed.
Interior Team: Expect the first supply drops early next week from our Secretary of the Interior.

My team will do our best to keep you updated this term about congressional discussions (see WHPR’s for these), military adventures (notes from the MoFA and MoD), and my desk. Day 1 is done and onto the next.
