Today’s WHPR
1. Non-Sanctioned Liberation War
2. The Value of a Defensive Dictatorship
Non-Sanctioned Liberation War
THERE HAS BEEN A NON-SANCTIONED LIBERATION WAR DECLARED AGAINST THE eUNITED STATES THAT VIOLATES THE CONSITUTION OF THE eUNITED STATES.
The eUS government urges you to fight to defend the eUS against this non-sanctioned liberation war. The defensive dictatorship is a protective shield for the eUS that protects us from foreign aggression.
The Value of a Defensive Dictatorship
Tyler Bubblar, Deputy Secretary of Media
Let's be honest. This dictator thing isn't great. In fact it's a pretty terrible addition to the game. There are so many other facets of the game that are in desperate need of overhaul. However, much like the real world sometimes you just have to roll with what reality hands you. Rather than a more diversified economic module we have been given the Dictator feature. This feature allows anyone with 200k and CO of an MU the opportunity to take over a nation. If successful that person has sole control in passing laws, granting citizenship, and national finances.
In short a successful Civil War by the wrong individual would wreak havoc on a nation. A Civil War once initiated gives only 3 hours warning. So with that in mind a Defensive Dictatorship was installed here in the eUSA. The idea was to give an advanced warning. In order to successfully install a dictator in a nation already possessing one the incumbent Dictator must first be removed. There is then a 10 day cool down before another Civil War can be initiated. It is not perfect, but our current Dictatorship has been put in place to give us a 7 day window to prepare for an assault on our government rather than 3 hours. 3 hours is not a long time especially if it is initiated when most of us are sleeping.
I urge all eAmericans to fight to defend the system of early warning we have put in place. The word Dictator is anathema to America and the Republic which she is, but that is real life. Here in game we have to work with game mechanics. Without our current system of Dictatorship it is not unfeasible for all of us to wake up to have our government under assault and be several rounds down. Once more I urge to defend the government in this Civil War.
Your Inspirational American Gif of the Day
Sincerely, Your WHPR team,
Secretary of Media, Tom Cauchon
Deputy Secretary of Media, Tyler Bubblar

IRL there is no such thing as a "protective dictatorship". No matter how perfect you believe your system is, one day, if unchanged, you will have a corrupt official who will use the protective dictatorship to ruin the eUS. A PTO is much easier to deal with than an MTO. Think about RGR, eUS dealt with him, and the AFA. A person with an ulterior motive could potentially grab hold of the "protective" dictatorship, and wreak irreparable havoc on the eUS. Constant vigilance against MTO's has less risk than always being exposed through a protective dictatorship.
Really?
FYI a lot of Portuguese people supported us.
Don't speak of things you know nothing about.
A big reason we were "dealt" with was their usage of bots.
