War Maps

Hello there everyone in TV-land. I hope this segment finds you well, enjoying life, and your button-pushing. Let's get down to business and see what is going on in the eWorld.

First and foremost there is a beautiful gang-bang going on in Asia. China is the focus of a three-prong attack and will inevitably be wiped, unless they launch an Airstrike to escape doom. Turkey, Croatia, and Chile are executing a plan to put China in a very difficult place. When I checked last night, the battles weren't even close, and today is no different. China has 25 regions, and have lost one region to each of the attackers at print. Depending on how the RW's go, China should be wiped in under two weeks. How will it take for them to leave ASTERIA? I suggest the either the CP will be impeached or they will leave ASTERIA before the month is out. Let's see what happens.

The Baltic region continues to be a weird place where SIRIUS, ASTERIA, and PACIFICA interests come crashing against each other. The eUSA has be-friended eFinland, which has really upset the balance here. Finland has won five battles in a row against Estonia with no signs of slowing down. Conversely, the USA is helping Lithuania in her fights with Belarus. We'll keep an eye on this region and see if any other countries break ranks to further change the landscape.

And lastly, Bulgaria and Hungary have opened Chapter 1,069 in the book entitled "Battles in the Balkans that don't mean s***." Bulgaria is winning, handily, right now in Taurida. We'll hold our breath to see what transpires here.

Keep reading and keep shaking that ass.

Education: American University program
MrCarey

Good day fellow eAmericans! I’d like to talk a bit today about the American University program of the Department of Education! This is a program that has been around before, but due to the lull in DoE activity, it died out. Well, I’m bringing it back! Of course bringing back an entire university is not a job for only one person. I have appointed David_MacDaniel as the Dean of AU. However, two people is still not enough, we need mentors!

Think of AU mentors as professors. They are the people who will take the newbies to eAmerican and mold them into productive and engaging citizens. The American University program consists of 11 days worth of information. Each day another topic is covered, and three of the 11 days are comprised of a test with rewards for passing. This program is a great way to get a new player into the game and engaged with the community. It also helps new players better understand the game and breaks down eRepublik in a lessened overwhelming view.

We’re hoping to get the AU kicked off by the end of this week. We just need to update a few docs here and there and we’ll be good to go. We need more mentors though. We need players who are familiar enough with eRepublik that they feel they can be a reliable asset in the DoE and helping new players. We need people who can regularly sign on (once a day or at the very absolute least, every other day) and check in with their students (or mentees) and keep them moving through the program. We’re looking for people with a level of ambition who will be committed to the job and do the job well. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please send a PM to either David_MacDaniel or MrCarey expressing your desire to become an American University Mentor. Help be the change our country needs. Help keep these new faces in the game. Give our Department of Interior some more bodies to interact with.

Musings of a Has-Been
dmjohnston

Most of eAmerica knows that I have the cutest baby in the world. Polls have shown irrefutably that the majority of our great eNation feels she is much cuter than SColbert.

In her long history of cuteness, it’s sometimes hard to pick out one moment over another in terms of Adorable Factor.

Still, there are times when she really takes the cake. We had a conversation recently that went a little something like this:

Me: “Can you say, ‘Batman?’”

Rachel: “Da-da.”

Me: “Who is Batman?”

Rachel: “Da-da.”

It should be blatantly clear that my daughter knows her stuff. I won’t mention that when asked to say “Mama” she still said “Da-da” because it’s not really relevant. I’m not saying that I’m Batman. I’m simply saying that no one has ever seen us in the same room together and that my daughter seems to be convinced that I am. Take that for what it’s worth.

This has been the Musings of a Has-Been. I’m dmjohnston asking, “Who told you you could eat my cookies?!”

Game of Alliances
ErrOrka

Today I'd like to show you the work of Deputy Secretary of State Evry. He calls it an "alliance-web-drawing-graph-thing".

Yes. This is it. The entirety of the connections between all the eCountries. Not bad, eh?
You can distinguish the two blocs instantly. Then there are those lines. A ton of lines.

-This reaction brought to you by valar morghulis-

Each grey line represents a MPP between the two countries it connects. This is as of October 3rd.
It's not easy to see the specific connections, but, it is a good reference in terms of knowing which side various countries are located on.

You might have already noticed that there are 3 lines connecting the 2 blocs, and that two of those lines are connected to eUSA. Because we...you know...we are special :3
The one between Poland and Hungary? A pathetic attempt on being as special as us. Don't mind them.

-Daenerys is not impressed-

The other great thing about this graph is that the more connections a country has, the closer to the center it will be, and vice versa, so it's very easy to identify the major players.
The graph is also available on eusaforums in the Public Congressional Proceedings subforum, so be sure to tell Evry how awesome he is.
