[UKRP]Statement on NewEra PP Election

Day 1,999, 21:00 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Dishmcds
Gentlemen, and Butjam,

We here at the UKRP are not living under a rock and know that there are some mild controversies surrounding the election in New Era for their Party Presidency.

We would like to make a simple statement on it to head off anything anyone might later on say regarding our views as a party (on the whole).

We would like to make the following clear:

1. We at the UKRP stand entirely for the individuality of our members, and while we would recommend that they vote for their preferred candidate in our Party President elections, we're absolutely never going to tell them that they cannot vote for whomever they chose.

2. We do not, however, condone moving to any other party and voting in their party elections. Each party manages their own elections, and has the right to have free elections or primaries. We do not support any outside candidates moving in to take a functional, influential party over. We ask that all members respect their right to elections the same we'd hope they would support our right to free elections.

3. We do not get involved in domestic, internal party squabbles. If there are divides within parties, we support letting them solve their own issues without having our membership getting directly involved. If New Era or any other party wishes to ask for our help and/or cooperation (in the case of New Era we'd probably decline to offer assistance unless they change their stance and attitude towards our members) we're more than open to the idea.

We wish New Era the best in handling their current problems, and as a party we will not be officiating any shape or form of help in any takeover attempt, or hindrance in any manner.

Hopefully this not only clears up what might be said about our party, and any misconceptions certain people might try to stir up.

Sincerely
Just Another Guy
