Good evening, or morning, or afternoon, as the case might be. I guess the title of the article gives it all away. I am Trekker Tlumac and I am running for ePotUS in the month of April.

It has been a long journey to this point and there is more road left to travel. With your support, we will write this part of the story together.

In the coming days, I will explain more of my motives and personal history that has led me to this moment. Many of you know me and may know parts of this history. But for now I will speak briefly about me.

I joined in 2009. However that is not really where this story begins. Back then, eRep was a random web game I joined to kill time before I could move in RL to another state. It served that purpose for two weeks before I moved and forgot it existed.

I came back to the game in 2012. While that is where I count my beginnings, it is not where the story of who I am in the game begins either.

The fall of 2013 is where my journey really begins. In the early part of fall I had finally started to be social, mostly in the MU I belong too. It was not out of ambition. It was more a matter of comfort. I had finally found a place that I felt comfortable in.

I was rather surprised the first time I was offered a job. A loud mouth making bad jokes is all I had thought of myself when Deepchill asked me to be a captain in EZC. I had just mouthed off to the Fed Party President at the time, MelissaRose, when I was offered my first chance to be part of Fed Media a couple months later.

I accepted both offers, and that is really where the journey of the last 18 months began.

At the time I was not sure I was right for either job (Captain or Media Director), but I agreed to try them. And thus I joined the world of the eRepublik META game.

To my surprise, I found that I performed these new duties more competently than I had expected. More than that, I found that I liked being involved. To be a part of something bigger was not something I had ever dreamed for myself, but that is the road I wound up on.

In the past 18 months I have been a part of the META, performed many jobs, learned much, studied under people whom amazed me in their ability, and struggled to better myself and my surroundings. It has not been easy, as the road forward and the easy way are not always congruent.

Such events are difficult during the experience, but in the end are worth the time. There is no greater teacher than strife. You learn fast what is in your heart and what you are capable of. You find strength you did not know you had. You also learn who of those around you are willing to stand at your back when things are truly tough.

When I started this journey, I had no idea where the road was headed. I followed along gathering the tools I would need later on down the road and not really knowing what they were for. Leadership is not where I planned to be, nor was public service. This is where I have ended up though. Everything in the last 18 months has brought me closer to this moment.

I hope that in the coming days we can serve this great country together.
