I for one am NOT going to vote yes to these PEACE proposals
Reasons why
1 - If EDEN want to waste there gold in blocking us then so be it - let them waste there gold
2 - The US treasury is stupidly low according to sources, why else have they started creating bonds. They have spent too much in a short time and now they must pay
3 - We have some great friends in PHOENIX and now people are calling us traitors ect.
4 - The Congress of the UK did not know that some of our players were going around asking other nations for peace. As a congress member we are supposed to know what is going on and everything should be considered.
5 - This decision was taken by a few, not the many
6 - Several months ago we lost to Sweden, now we have alliances stacked against them
7 - I don't want boring Britain where we do not get to fight
8 - This is not the best decision for our Alliance and so it is not the best decision for the UK, remember we survived the EDEN onslaught because of our Friends
9 - We have lost respect of all PHOENIX nations after they did so much to defend the UK
10 - We have been betrayed from the inside

This is untrue. We were told about possible peace deals at least a week before last night when peace actually arrived.

We have very limited amount of funds. Very limited. And 18 allies can't stop us from getting blocked all the time. We could not break out and help anybody. Unless some miracle came along, or you've got a master plan of some sort.
How would you suggest we stop six different nations from blocking us, with only one other friendly nation nearby?
This actually puts us in a BETTER position to help France and Germany.

The government are spineless, they even try and get any regions back whatsoever?

Also, one guy's article = Whole of Turkish population? He also believes that Phoenix didn't help enough in their battle (or implies as such) even though they won, AND we even had a strike in their battle WHILE the London battle was still going.

I agree with the peace treaty, but strongly disagree with the way our government, a select few, handled it. The public and our allies should have been informed beforehand.
I just want to remind people that this wasn't the eUK government's decision, Phoenix OK-ed it.

Rhetoric is all there seems left as the humiliating capitulation to our colonies is complete.
A sad day for Britain and an even worse one for France, Germany and all the other Phoenix allies who stood by us.

As Matt said is pretty much the place I am at, having had some of the reasons explained I can see and accept them... but the way it was handled was a complete and utter disaster. The leadership of everyone of the eUK's allies should have been ready to come out with a statement of support at the exact same time as the annoucment was made.
Phoenix High Command should have been coming out with a statement of support as the annoucement was made, so that everyone of our allies knew this was considered the best choice for everyone not just the eUK.
The truth is through that if the wars had stayed open.. what do people think would have happened? At the start of the war the eUK was attacked by four nations at once, as the war progressed and we retreated regions we where able to cut that down to one, however, as we retook regions we would have eventually reached a point where the four nations would once more be able to attack.
At that point the eUK would have to keep up five blocking attacks. One against each of the four nations that attacked us and one against eSpain.
Five blocking attacks every day. Frankly folks we couldn't afford it, and nor could the rest of the alliance. We where laughing at Eden for their attacks and the expense they incured attacking the eUK, well without the peace treaty PHX would be paying even more for less gain, or facing the invasion all over again.
On the otherhand we got them all closed, the eUK is not going to get in that posisition again, it's unlikely we are going to open up fronts with every single nation surronding us, so we an afford to send our boys elsewhere to help you guys.
Frankly this was the victory you where all fighting for.
A decision such as this should've been run past our allies before anything was agreed to gauge their reaction beforehand, not after the event.

Even considering that the army and polulation will follow any orders, will decide to spend their money for weapons and fight better, still in democracy the public opinion is what rules the politics in a long therm. Let not consider that some of the people there are senators (I for example am) or officers in their countries.
But... what will happen the next time we simultaneusly have a combination like "battle in London + battle in Turkey + battle in Autsria + battle in China" and we have to chose priorities?

You wouldnt be wiped out. If there was a realistic chance for that to happen, USA and EDEN wouldnt be talking about peace.
On other hand, if you prevailed, and stuck in this attrition war, you would have earned so many credits with your allies, and would have so much more fun and satisfaction liberating your Isle later on.
Continuation of the war was an option, you just picked the other one and i m afraid there will be consequences, as this is VERY serious stuff.
Saying that you are better help without MPP-s is mocking our inteligence. It is racionalization of a poor move.
