[Snow] An Unexpected Journey

Day 2,520, 20:52 Published in USA USA by Astraeus II

America,

Tales have been told of something to the North. A material that exists and has done so for as long as human memory can recollect. This mysterious material comes in a very predictable pattern, layering the surface of the planet with a thin white sheen and making the ground reflect light and a cold strong enough to penetrate even the warmest of beings. It has a destructive nature, slowing traffic and making even the strongest of us become overwhelmed by certain childish desires which tell us to stop working and go out and throw it at each other.

I have begun to research this material with all of the available information collected in the United State's great libraries and have come up with further proof of the destructive nature of this material. Here is an excerpt from one of my readings,

"So long as he walked four miles an hour, he pumped that blood, willy-nilly, to the surface; but now it ebbed away and sank down into the recesses of his body. The extremities were the first to feel its absence. His wet feet froze the faster, and his exposed fingers numbed the faster, though they had not yet begun to freeze. Nose and cheeks were already freezing, while the skin of all his body chilled as it lost its blood." Full Reading Here

Despite my in depth search, little could be found on the topic and so I will embark on a unexpected journey to the north to find out more about this mysterious material. I will continue posting any information collected and treat this as my notebook along the journey. This is a rare occasion and the challenges will be great, but I will do anything to advance human knowledge. My journey will begin in Canada, where I will continue to study this peculiar material some have called snow.
