Once again, we have a lot to discuss. There have been even more changes to the command structure of SHIELD, as well as changes in some of our programs.

1. A “Thank You” for Outstanding Service

I would like to take a moment to extend a sincere thank you to our two XOs stephen s and Sle7en for their amazing service to SHIELD over the past few months. They have both been hard workers who are completely dedicated to the good of this unit. Sadly Real life commitments have limited activity for both of these great officers, and they will be moving on from being SHIELD XOs. I am completely confident that when they come back to full activity, they will be moving on to bigger and better things in the eUS, and I support them fully in that.

Make sure to thank both stephen s and Sle7en for their great service to SHIELD. We will certainly miss them in command.

2. Hello to a Newer Face

The absence of our two XOs has created a hole in our command structure that must be filled. I conferred with the Fed Party President Jefferson Locke, and one name struck us both as being the only person for the job. That man is none other than the Captain of SHIELD's fifth regiment, WookyJack.

Now rather than giving a small background on WookyJack for you guys, I thought that it might be better for him to introduce himself in his own words. As he is the current Fed Media Director, he has an absolute gift for words, one that will be used for SHIELD’s benefit soon enough.




Hi everyone,

My name is WookyJack and I have been playing Erepublik off an on since 2009. Recently I came back in February because I all of a sudden remembered this game existed after my hasty exit in 2010. Oh, v2.0, how I loathed thee.

When I came back from the grave I immediately had an ambition to start writing for the media again. Full Collapse is my more notable series about the zombie apocalypse, but since my inception to the Feds it has ridden shotgun to the Federalist Press Release? What is that? Its basically the voice of the Federalists.

Passed on from one Fed writer to the other, I graciously accepted the position as Director of Media from my new buddy Trekker Tlumac. His fat, swollen heart of love believed I was the perfect person to succeed him. I hope I made him proud! (And horny?)

Anyways, I promptly joined SHIELD (The Fed's MU, obviously) and soon became Apollo221's and CrashThompson's Quarter Master. (The guy who gives you free sh*t if you're in SHIELD. Yeah, FREE STUFF, how about them apples?) During some transitions of leadership from Mourning Star to Tyler B to BigCDizzle, SHIELD recently returned home from a mobile attack on Portugal. BigC led the way into the hostile territory of Zulian and it really re-invigorated the entire Military Unit. He basically kicked the MU in the balls, while setting new standards, and we attacked the crap out of Portugal to try and liberate our South American hermanos from Venezuela. Some will say we failed. But I felt proud to be there fighting with the other SHIELD members. As we took turns grabbing Battle Hero medals each round I felt serenely proud of my brothers and sisters, as they viciously smashed their mouses and keyboards to try and liberate the land from the enemy.

We did not get a victory that day, but we became a unit.  We fell to the Portuguese forces that day, but we did not cower, turn and tuck our tails to flee.  We stood there, round after round, taking hit after hit until the sun cascaded into the Western horizon, vanishing beneath the Pacific Ocean.  As we returned home we left Zulian with our heads held high.  We knew we had fought valiantly and every poor bastard who faced us felt pain to their cores.  We knew what it meant to be proud and horny.  Our thirst is unquenched; we will be back for more.

As you can all see, WookyJack is fired up, and ready to commit his all to SHIELD. He will be a great asset to our team, and you will most certainly be seeing more of him in the future.





3. HAMMER Revisions

HAMMER is A program designed to assist players in upgrading their Weight Room to Q4. This will allow the player to train for the most strength for free.

Players enrolled in HAMMER will abstain from daily fighting and working their personal factories until they reach a strength level of 20,000 (21000 gets you on the first page Div 1 strength for eUSA, 28000 gets you on the first page of Div 1 strength for eSerbia)
HAMMER members will be invited to participate in Deployments and other major SHIELD events.

HAMMER soldiers will work commune along with their fellow SHIELD soldiers as well as request daily supplies. Instead of receiving 12 Q7 tanks and 1000 energy HAMMER soldiers will be given 0.5 gold and 50 energy.

HAMMER soldiers will also have the opportunity to earn more gold by participating in activity/educational objectives set by the HAMMER program. HAMMER soldiers will be allowed to complete one objective each week. Each objective will earn the HAMMER soldier 1.5 gold.

Objectives will include any and all of the following, subscription to national and important newspapers, the reading of educational material, creating educational material, meeting certain strength goals, etc...

Objectives will be set by the HAMMER Director.

If a HAMMER soldier completes an objective a week and daily roll call, they will collect a total of 5 Gold per week. Given that it takes 90 G to upgrade a Q1 Weight Room to a Q4 Weight Room (during a sale) it will take them 18 weeks or about 4 months to accomplish this goal. If HAMMER soldiers also sign up for BU2SU, this will also allow them to earn an additional 5 Gold a week from that program cutting their upgrade time down to 9 weeks or roughly 2 months. HAMMER soldiers will be encouraged to participate in BU2SU.

This program will be a great opportunity for newer players to advance themselves in the game, and become a tank in their lower division. I encourage anyone who fits these requirements and is looking for a way to become stronger, to come join HAMMER. It will make a difference for you.
