{RSU} Update

Day 2,992, 20:39 Published in Australia Thailand by Revolutionary Socialist Union

Hello eAustralia,

It has been a while since drinks (article releases) and a lot has happened. Between congress elections, lead up to CP elections, our Party President getting a Perma Ban which was later lifted, plus our members taking part in this new congress.

I will try and briefly touch on each and everything that has been happening so far with in the RSU and also I will be giving detailed information to our current members.

Congress Elections

The RSU was lucky to have received enough votes to have 6 of our members take their seats in this current congress. Many of them have had past experience in Australian politics and overseas politics. These members are:

Rusty D
Theolor
Brooj
The.Russian.Bear
Walter Longmire
Dos Famas

To our members, I hope you do the voting citizens proud and represent them to the best of you abilities. Also I hope you keep the clean image of the RSU and avoid getting into petty squabbles that sometimes form in the congress chambers.

Upcoming CP elections

Currently there are two candidates running for CP in eAustralia. At the time of publication these are Freegigi (supported by the ADP) and Kattrrina (supported by the APP and the Destiny party). Both of these candidates has yet to release any policy papers or information about the election platforms. However one has reached out for RSU endorsement.

On the other hand Ilene Dover (Current KHMC member and founder of RSU) has released an article about her plans to run if her party approves her endorsement.

I have already reached out to many of you via our shout box and message thread asking for your choice in candidates and will posting our endorsement soon.

EDIT: The RSU will be endorsing Ilene Dover.

Our Party President's Perma Ban

As many of you might know already, our Party President and much beloved eAustralian patriot ]Rusty D was given a Perma Ban from the admins. This was later over turned on appeal. While the complete details can not be publicly released due to game rules, the fact it was over turned on appeal, shows that the RSU and our President at the time had acted with in the game rules and mechanics.

While this caused some issue's in the lead up to congress elections, plus a drop in our party rankings, the RSU still managed a good showing and scored 16.22% of the congress seats. With these seats and our friendship with other parties, plus strong leadership by our members, we will try and ensure eAustralia stays clean and safe from both internal threats and external.

But let me make it clear, the RSU has never been involved in dirty tricks, illegal moves or the like. All senior members have played by the rules and obeyed the laws written by the admins.

New Congress Update

Currently your members on your behalf are discussing a wide range of things. These include a possible TW with another country, which has it's pros and cons (hence why discussions can take a little while), MPPs that are coming up to be renewed and also the issue of CS passes.

TW this will have the benefits of providing the citizens with some action and TP medals. While these are some of the good things to come out of it, plus building of a friendship with the other country, the negative or possible negative aspects need to be looked at. These include, a TW crossing over into a new CP term on both sides and also damage being used for training instead of helping our many allies and friends who are in current wars of survival.

MPP as all can see when they access the military page eAustralia has a few MPPs coming up for renewal. Like all MPPs these are being discussed to ensure they serve not only eAustralia but also our allies as best as we can.

CS Passes With the move back into democracy, the congress members have the power to issue CS with out prior discussion or voting with in the congress block. This was seen last term as a pass was issued near congress elections with out discussion and has already happened twice this term. While the RSU has been playing by the rules and discussing these CS passes, other haven't. Due to this, RSU congress members have been asking for clear cut guidelines to prevent any tick for tack pass issuing as this leaves us vulnerable to a MTO/PTO.

Also some laws have been voted in to power already, these include a lowering of Import Tax (done on the congress vote day) by 5% to allow it easier and cheaper for overseas producers to sell on our market. This same law that was voted on, held the tax for local producers at its previous rates.

And a current law being voted on (at time of posting it looks like it will pass) to raise the minimum wage from 1cc/day to 5cc/day. This law was proposed by the honourable congressman Damian Gaby who also raised it in congress for discussion and publicly via his paper here in what I found a very well written article talking about the pro's and cons of such a law. And also including a time to gather results and re-analyise the law.

RSU member update

To all RSU members and future members, we will be starting our food drops again at the start of the eRep week. So please keep an eye out for you 500 Q4 food. Also we are still open to accepting any potential RSU candidates for the CP election. EDIT: The RSU will be endorsing Ilene Dover
