[PoTUS] Much to be Done

Day 2,789, 23:29 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar

Greetings America! It is day 5 of this Presidential Term, and we have been extremely busy. I have to tell the nation that so far I am extremely pleased with the level of activity and dedication the Cabinet has displayed. I had strong expectations of how well they would do together and so far if anything they have exceeded them! There are a lot of projects and impending campaigns upcoming in the next few days. If you all will bear with me I am going to give a brief rundown of the goings on of the executive thus far, and some of our plans for the future.

Let us begin with Spain. We took Cantabria fairly easily, but we stumbled a bit in the initial resistance war we opened in Castilla y Leon. We fell behind fairly quickly and were never in any danger of making that RW interesting. We dropped the ball, and it set our timeline back a little bit. Call it a slight case of opening jitters. However, we have coordinated quite a bit better with our latest attempt in Castilla y Leon, and things are looking quite promising. My administration reached out to the PMUs and they have responded with strength. If this RW is successful we will reopen a Natural Enemy on Spain. There will be more RWs opened in Portugal occupied Spain in the coming days as we make our way east towards France. If you are interested in getting RW medals and FF medals these next few days should provide many opportunities to do so.

As I stated in my previous article our mission in Spain is to provide the eUSA with True Patriot damage (entertainment as well) and to help Portugal in their war with Spain. There is also another purpose. We are making our way East through the heretical lands of Spain in search of a stronger enemy to test ourselves against. Other than our brief foray into FYROM last month it has been sometime since we fought against anyone of quality. In the coming weeks that shall be remedied. Europe is where most of the action is right now so that is where we are going to find it. Let’s get ready to flex some eUSA muscle.

On the home front things are really beginning to shape up. I could not be more pleased with the talented and energetic group we have working in the Education/Interior hybrid that has been created. They are publishing quality articles on a near daily basis. In addition to this we are currently working with Congress to secure a line item on the budget in order to fund the domestic programs run out of these two Departments. For years now they have operated on private donations and fundraisers. More often than not going back to Trickstir’s time as Secretary of Interior the various programs (bewbs4newbs, meals on wheels, BU2SU, Stack the Wall, etc.) have been funded by the person administering it.

While I personally applaud such individual generosity I believe it limits the pool of people we can place in charge of these programs. A new eager player may have the motivation, energy, and time to run the program, but does not have the infrastructure to sustain it. Funding these programs with public dollars would put them back under the purview of Congress which from an executive standpoint can be bothersome, but is likely how it should be now that we have enough money to once again fund these programs. It would also reopen these jobs that were once used as a proving grounds for up and coming players to said newer players.

Media is going a slightly different route than what has been traditional. The SecMed usually will attempt to publish on average 2 issues of the WHPR a week. Derphoof our SecMed and eNPR host will be publishing an edition of WHPR every 5 to 7 or so days while also hosting eNPR on Sunday evenings with Aramec and Paul Proteus. Scolbert my Press Secretary will be publishing in the WHPR special editions that will have past editions of the Daily Press Releases he posts daily in the executive boards. This is to bring to those who do not frequent the eUSA forums a place to read what we are up to on a daily basis and of course ask any questions they may have. This will be done at least weekly but with the hope that it can be done twice a week.

To wrap everything up: these next few days will be extremely active on the war front. There will be True Patriot damage, RW medals, and FF medals to be had. We are helping an Ally while also working our way east for what should be an extremely challenging, but fun test of our national strength. The domestic team is doing a fantastic job. I did not mention this above but the DoD/NSC are working well together and are in the process of bringing in enthusiastic active people to bring energy and life to their respective Departments. In line with that RaccoonGoon has been invaluable in the NSC and has been promoted to C0-NSC chair in recognition of his stellar work. On the whole I am quite pleased with the start to this term and I firmly believe the next week or so will be absolutely action packed. Stay tuned it is only going to get better!
